I am really struggling with dry skin this winter, and I can’t seem to find a good solution. I've heard people say that the right oil can make a big difference, but honestly I'm not sure which oil is best for body massage in winter. My skin feels tight and itchy all the time, and I feel like I need something nourishing that actually helps. Last week, I tried a popular coconut oil but it didn’t do much—it absorbed too quick and I still felt dry afterward. Some friends recommend olive oil, but it feels kinda heavy and leaves my skin a bit sticky. I read somewhere that sesame oil is good too, especially in Ayurveda, but I’m not sure if I should even go that route. I’ve been massaging my skin with oils in the hopes of restoring moisture, but I don't know what to choose. Like, is there an oil that really stands out as the best for body massage in winter? I’m looking for something that not only feels good but also provides that hydration I need. Any suggestions or personal experiences would be super helpful!!

Take a few minutes for the oil to soak in before dressing, to help avoid any greasiness and ensure maximum absorption.

If sesame oil feels too heavy, consider mixing with a lighter oil, like sweet almond oil, which is also very moisturizing and nourishing. Sweet almond oil can make the blend less viscous while still providing the nourishing qualities you need.

Finally, lifestyle and diet are also crucial – staying hydrated, protecting your skin from harsh weather, and consuming warm, moist foods can also contribute to healthier skin. Prioritize particularly foods that are rich in healthy fats like avocados, nuts, and seeds, which naturally support lubrication and nourishment of the skin from within.
