Vanakkam, According to your complaints, It sounds like you are experiencing Contact Dermatitis or a “Phyto-photodermatitis” reaction. While Neem and Turmeric are potent healers, they can be highly acidic or abrasive on sensitive skin, leading to a chemical burn-like reaction followed by Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH). Since your skin is currently irritated, the goal is to pacify the Pitta Dosha (heat element) and heal the Raktha Dhatu (blood/skin layer). Internal Medicines 1. Manjishtadi Kwath: A powerful blood purifier that reduces skin discoloration and redness. Dose: 15 ml mixed with 45 ml of lukewarm water, twice daily before food. 2. Vilwadi Gulika: Specifically used to neutralize toxins (Agada) that cause skin reactions. Dose: 1 tablet crushed and taken with warm water or honey, twice daily after food. External Applications 1. Eladi Kerathailam: A coconut oil-based formula that excels at treating skin irritations and restoring natural complexion. Application: Apply gently over the affected area, leave for 30 minutes, and wash with lukewarm water. Do not scrub. 2. Nalpamaradi Kerathailam: Specifically indicated for “Varnya” (improving complexion) and removing dark spots/tan. Application: Use this once the initial redness and irritation have subsided to treat the darkening. Immediate Care Tips Stop All Pastes: Discontinue the use of Neem, Turmeric, or any homemade scrubs until the skin barrier is fully repaired. Cooling Wash: Use only plain cold water or a splash of Rose Water to soothe the burning sensation. Sun Protection: Your skin is currently compromised. Avoid direct sunlight on the dark patch, as UV rays will make the blackness more permanent. Hydration: Drink coconut water or Sariva (Anantmool) infused water to cool the body from within.

●A simple traditional face mask: • Multani mitti - 2 teaspoons Neem powder - 1/2 teaspoon • Manjistha powder - 1/2 teaspoon Mulethi powder - 1/2 teaspoon Sandalwood powder - 1/4 teaspoon • Turmeric - 1 pinch Borosilicate ash - 1/8 teaspoon • Rose water or aloe vera gel - as needed Method: Mix all the ingredients to make a thin paste. Apply it only to the pimple area or in a thin layer all over the face. After 10-12 minutes, wash it off with lukewarm water. This can be used 2-3 times a week. ●Why this paste is considered useful: Neem - Helps cleanse the skin and reduce the tendency to break out. Manjishtha - For redness and old scars. Mulethi - To soothe the skin. Sandalwood - To reduce excess heat and irritation. • Borax Bhasma - For excess oil and inflamed pimples. Multani Mitti - For excess oil and clogged pores. If pimples are very red, painful, or reoccur, another simple remedy is also used. Second remedy: At night, take 1/4 teaspoon of Triphala powder and fennel water in 1 glass of lukewarm water, which cools the body heat. This can be taken in the morning on an empty stomach or at night, 1 hour after meals. Triphala and Neem are considered in Ayurveda to reduce excess body heat, digestive disorders, and skin effects. When the stomach, sleep, and daily routine improve, the face often begins to gradually calm down. Also, keep a few small things in mind: Drink enough water during the day Reduce spicy, fried, and excessively sweet foods Don’t touch your face repeatedly Reduce staying up late Don’t squeeze pimples

The condition which you describe about your skin is pointing towards the vicharchika or shyava( hyperpigmentation) with strong involvement of Pitta and Rakhta vitation As your skin is reacted to neem and turmeric which pointing towards the inflammatory stage where hot or sharp her may have aggravated this condition So here will focus on blood purification and cooling the burning sensation 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 1) mahatiktakam kashayam- 15 ml mix with 45 ml lukewarm water empty stomach 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily 2) guggulutiktakam ghritam- one teaspoon mix into the Kashayam 3) khadirarishtham- 20 ml with equal water after food twice daily 4) nalpamaradi thailam- apply gently 30 minute before bath do not rub 5) eladi choornam- mix with coconut milk or water apply on affected area 👇👇👇👇👇 Avoid Strictly avoid milk mixed with fruit, fish, or salt. Limit chilies, pickles, curd, fermented foods (Idli/Dosa batter), and excessive salt. Non-Veg: Red meat and sea fish should be avoided during the healing phase. you should avoid direct sunlight and hot environments, as heat will worsen the “black” discoloration Use green gram powder (Moong dal powder) instead of harsh chemical soaps. practicing Pranayama (Sheetali or Anulom Vilom) can help cool the internal system.

Hello I understand your concern. Sudden redness followed by darkening after applying neem and turmeric paste indicates a skin irritation / contact reaction, where Pitta got aggravated and caused inflammation, and later led to pigmentation. Right now, the focus should be on calming the skin and reducing pigmentation gently, not using any strong applications. Start with Khadirarishta 15 ml with equal water twice daily after food Gandhak Rasayan 1 tablet twice daily after food For local care, keep it very simple. Apply pure aloe vera gel (fresh or good quality) once or twice daily. Avoid neem, turmeric, or any harsh home remedies for now. Do not rub or scrub the area. Avoid direct sun exposure, and if going out, cover the area properly. Keep your diet cooling — include fruits, coconut water, and avoid spicy, fried, and acidic foods. This type of pigmentation usually improves gradually once inflammation settles, but it may take few weeks. If darkening continues to increase or burning persists, then a direct skin consultation is needed. It will improve, just keep the approach gentle and consistent. Warm Regards Dr Raghuveer SN

From what you’ve described — sudden redness → swelling → darkening on one side of face after applying neem–turmeric + reaction to new products — this looks like a skin irritation/contact dermatitis followed by post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Right now the priority is calming the skin, not treating the darkness aggressively. what likely happened new product or paste triggered irritation skin barrier got damaged → redness + swelling healing phase → dark patch formation (PIH) first rule (very important) stop applying anything active on face for now no neem, turmeric, ubtan no scrubs, no face packs no new creams only moisturiser or fresh aloe vera gel Only: plain water wash (or very mild cleanser) soft cloth, no rubbing internal ayurvedic support (as you suggested — correct direction) You can use: Sarivadyasava 15–20 ml + equal water, after meals, twice daily Manjisthadi Kwath 15–20 ml with water, empty stomach morning & evening Arogyavardhini Vati 1 tablet twice daily after meals These help in: raktashodhana (blood purification) reducing inflammation improving skin tone gradually

Vanakkam I can understand how distressing this must feel—especially when your natural skin tone suddenly changes and treatments seem to worsen it. Let’s approach this calmly and safely. From what you described—sudden redness → swelling → turning dark on one side after applying neem + turmeric + new products—this strongly suggests a skin reaction (contact dermatitis) followed by post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. In Ayurveda, this is typically a pitta aggravation with rakta dushti (blood vitiation). External care Wash with plain cool water or very mild cleanser Apply pure aloe vera gel (fresh if possible) 2–3 times daily If dryness: a few drops of cold-pressed coconut oil This step is to cool pitta and repair skin barrier 1)gandhak rasayan – helps skin healing & detox 2)mahamanjishtadi kwath – for blood purification and pigmentation These help correct the root rakta + pitta imbalance

Hello, Vanakkam, From your description, this looks like an acute skin reaction (likely cotact dermatitis / irritation turning into post inflammatory hyperpigmentation) triggered by new products + aggravated by neem turmeric paste (which can irritate sensitive/ inflamed skin further) First step= STOP aggravation (very important) for now (at least 7-10 days) -stop all new skin care products -stop neem, turmeric, scrubs, soaps on that area -avoid sun expsoure (this worsens blackening) Internal medications Your condition shows pitta + rakta dushti (heat + inflammation in blood) -Guluchyadi kashaya= 15ml + 45 ml warm water twice daily before meals =reduces inflammation, redness, swelling -Manjisthadi kashaya= 15ml + 45ml warm water evening =best for pigmentation + blood purification -Kiashor guggulu= 1 tab twice daily after meals =helps skin healing + reduces discoloration External care (very gentle only) Right now your skin is sensitive- don’t try strong packs Morning and night -wash with plain lukewarm water OR very mild cleansers Apply -Nalpmaradi keram= apply very thin layer, leave 20-30 min ,then wash gently =helps repair = even tone If burning/ irritation present -Use plain aloe vera gel (fresh) instead of oil for 2-3 days After 7 days (once redness fully settles) Start mild brightening -Kumkumadi taila= apply only at night few drops -very light massage= helps restore natural complexion gradually Diet crucial for skin recovery -coconut water -buttermilk with jeera -cucumbr, ash gour, fruits -plenty of water Avoid -spicy , fried, sour foods -tea,coffee excess -pickles, junk food Stress connection Your mentioned stress this diretly worsens skin pigmentation + inflammation Do daily -10 min deep breathing (pranayam) -proper sleep (very important for skin repair) Recovery timeline -redness/swelling= 3-7 days -dark patches fading= 3-6 weeks gradual Calm-> heal -> then lighten Don’t rush into treating blackness immediately Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you
