Your hair loss is likely due to a combination of factors, not just one reason. After shifting from Bombay to Himachal, these changes commonly affect hair: Water change (hard water) → weakens roots over time Cold climate → dries scalp, reduces nourishment Genetic tendency → crown thinning suggests pattern hair loss Stress → high stress directly increases hair fall Diet issues → lack of proper nutrition worsens thinning So it is not only the place, but how your body adapted over time. Focus on correcting these: Use mild shampoo and avoid hot water. If possible, use filtered water. Regular oiling is important in cold climate. Improve diet — include protein (dal, nuts), fruits, and healthy fats. Reduce stress as much as possible. At home: Oil massage 3–4 times/week with coconut or bhringraj oil. Gentle massage only. Bhringraj tablet – 1 tablet twice daily after food Amla tablet – 1 tablet twice daily after food Brahmi vati – 1 tablet at bedtime This helps strengthen roots and reduce further hair fall. Since crown thinning is present, early and consistent care is important to slow progression. Regards, Dr Raghuveer (Ayurvedacharya)
Doctor Bhringraj, amla tablet and brahmi vati doesn’t suit me can you recommend something else
If those medicines are not suiting you, it’s better to stop them and switch to gentler alternatives based on your tolerance. Focus on keeping digestion calm and avoiding anything that increases heat or irritation. Keep your routine simple, with proper meals, hydration, and stress control. At home, you can take warm milk at night with a small amount of ghee, and include soaked almonds daily for natural support. Shankhpushpi syrup/tablet – once or twice daily Jatamansi churna – ½ teaspoon at bedtime with warm water Guduchi tablet – 1 tablet twice daily after food These are generally milder and help with stress, energy, and overall balance without causing much irritation. Start one by one and observe how your body responds. Regards, Dr Raghuveer (Ayurvedacharya)
as you have mentioned that there are other chronic health problems also…what are those issues?..everything is co-related… you can start with triphala powder 1 tsp with warm water at night… if constipation, needs to be addressed…check vit d3, can start asthiposhak vati-1-0-1 after food
