Namaste! Your symptoms indicate an enlarged thyroid (Goiter) with possible Hypothyroidism, primarily due to Kapha and Meda Dhatu imbalance. Ayurveda focuses on Agnideepana (boosting metabolism), Lekhana (fat reduction), and Srotoshodhana (channel cleansing) to regulate thyroid function.

Ayurvedic Management: Herbal Remedies: Kanchnar Guggulu – Reduces thyroid swelling and balances Kapha. Triphala Churna – Detoxifies and improves digestion. Punarnava – Reduces swelling and water retention. Ashwagandha & Shatavari – Strengthen metabolism and reduce fatigue. Diet & Lifestyle: Avoid Kapha-aggravating foods – dairy, processed foods, excess salt. Eat light, warm, and iodine-rich foods – seaweed, rock salt, and whole grains. Daily Exercise & Yoga – Ujjayi Pranayama, Sarvangasana, and Surya Namaskar. Abhyanga (Oil Massage) – Sesame oil to improve circulation and reduce swelling. Precautions: Regular thyroid function monitoring is essential. Ayurvedic treatment takes time; follow it consistently for 3-6 months for results. Consult an experienced Vaidya for personalized guidance. Dhanyavad! Stay committed to your well-being with Ayurveda!

Based on what you’re tellin me, it sounds like you might be dealing with some thyroid-related issues. Now, when it comes to maintaining a well-functioning thyroid, our good ol’ Ayurveda can indeed be supportive, but please keep in mind that you should be consulting a medical professional about this too, especially if you’re having such pronounced symptoms. It sounds like there’s some genuine thyroid disfunction here.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, it might be related to Kapha imbalance due to the heaviness and sluggishness you’re feeling. So, to help balance things out, you gotta focus on a few things — your diet, lifestyle changes, and perhaps some herbal recommendations. Now, let’s get on to those suggestions:

In your diet, try to include warming and light foods. Maybe you can start incorporating more spices like ginger and turmeric into your meals. They can help stimulate your metabolism and improve digestion - which is super important for thyroid health. Avoid excessive oily, heavy, and dairy products as these can aggravate that Kapha.

Speaking of lifestyle, engaging in regular, gentle yoga can help. Specific asanas like Sarvangasana (shoulder stand) or Matsyasana (fish pose) can encourage better thyroid function. It’s not only about asanas but also breathing exercises (pranayama) like Kapalabhati is helpful for boosting energy levels and clearing the mind fog, you know?

When it comes to herbs, you might want to look into Ashwagandha and Guggul. They are often used to support thyroid functions. Though it’s vital ya consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for the right doses – these can be tricky!!

Now, bout that feeling of food being stuck in your neck and the sudden leg shock, those are a bit concerning. Really advise that you see a medical professional to rule out underlying issues that could be more serious. Ayurvedic recomendations are wonderful but shouldn’t replace necessary medical check-ups, especially for conditions that may need immediate attention.

Hope that helps! But please, don’t do it all on your own - keep those docs in the loop.

Thanks so much for clarifying this! I had no idea mixing meds could be risky. I'll stick to my doctor's meds and look into Ayurveda separately.
