Hi Asim,

Can you tell when the bronchiectasis was diagnosed. Do you use any kind of inhalers for asthma? How is your gut, do you have any digestive concerns? Do you have chest pain too?

Hello Asim, Your problem looks like lung weakness and too much infection again and again. In Ayurveda, we try to make lungs strong, remove extra mucus, and make body fight better. You should not eat cold food, milk, fried things, and sugar food. Try drinking warm herbal tea with Tulsi, Mulethi, and Pippali to clean chest and help breathing better.

You can take Sitopaladi Churna 1 teaspoon with honey two times a day to remove mucus. Also, do steam with Ajwain or eucalyptus oil to feel better. Do you see if stress or any food make problem more? Try Anulom Vilom and Bhastrika Pranayama to make lungs work better.

If infection coming again, herbs like Guduchi, Ashwagandha, and Turmeric can help to fight bacteria and stop problem coming back. Since you have this problem for long time, best to check with a good doctor for full treatment plan. Let me know if need more help.

Hey, I see you’re dealing with bronchiectasis and recurring infections thanks to that pesky Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It’s tough when warm and cold humid weather both make things worse too, huh? Let’s see if Ayurveda can lend a hand.

First off, managing Kapha dosha is crucial here, 'cause your condition often links to excess Kapha, especially with mucus build-up and those infections. Try avoiding cold food and drinks, since they’re notorious for aggravating Kapha. Stick with warm, cooked meals, favor spices like ginger, turmeric, and black pepper – they’re pretty awesome for digestion and reducing mucus. Maybe you’ve already heard of Tulsi and Vasa (vasaka) – those are traditional herbs for respiratory issues. Drinking Tulsi tea every day, 2-3 times, could help keep things in balance. Vasa powder’s another one; take about 1-2 grams with warm water.

For the Pseudomonas bacteria and infections, turmeric (again!) is your ally. It has antibacterial properties. Try to add it into your food or take it with warm milk at night, a teaspoon should do it. Trikatu churna – a mixture of black pepper, long pepper, and ginger – can help you tackle the mucus build-up as well. Consult with someone nearby who knows how to use it correctly though, 'cause dosing can vary.

Breathing exercises (Pranayama) like Kapalbhati and Anulom Vilom done regularly could benefit your lung health too. But, don’t push yourself if you feel breathless.

Of course, if things get worse, you’ve gotta seek immediate medical care. Ayurveda can be supportive but in tricky cases like recurrent bacterial infections, conventional medicine might still be the front line.

Lastly, keep your surroundings as dust-free as possible and avoid allergens like, well, cold weather you mentioned. A humidifier and air purifiers can be life-savers sometimes.

Remember, the key’s in consistency and patience, so hang in there!
