I am pretty confused about something and would love some insight! So, I've been reading a lot about natural supplements and heard about both shilajit and ashwagandha recently. The thing is, I’ve been wanting to boost my energy, improve my focus, and maybe even help my stress levels a bit. I mean, life gets pretty hectic, you know? I even tried yoga therapy, but sometimes it just doesn’t cut it for my hectic job. So, I’m wondering, which is better, shilajit or ashwagandha? Here’s the deal, I started taking ashwagandha a few weeks ago and I feel like it’s helping with the stress and anxiety but I can’t help but think if shilajit would be even more effective? I read online that shilajit can improve stamina and overall health which sounds amazing! But then again, I've heard ashwagandha is known for balancing hormones too, which could be useful for me. Ugh! The more I research, the more I’m getting lost. I’m also not sure how to take either of them properly. Like, do they have to be taken at a certain time of day? And can I take them together? I mean, is there any risk involved? I really hope they don't have the same side effects or cancel each other out, right? I've had friends recommend shilajit after they tried it for their health issues, and they swear by it. But can ashwagandha hold a candle to it? I've read mixed reviews, so I'm just trying to figure out should I stick with my ashwagandha or switch to shilajit? Or maybe there's a case for combining both? It just seems overwhelming! Dear,You did not mention your age. If your main issue is stress, anxiety, or poor sleep, Ashwagandha is your best friend. Ashwagandha leham - 1spoon with milk Or tablet with milk at night If your main issue is low energy, stamina, or mineral deficiency, Shilajit is the better choice. 1-2 Shilajeet tab with milk at morning

Combining both? —as long as your digestion and body heat can handle it. That means there is no digestion issues, acidity constipation, headache etc. Also stay hydrated if you take combination of both in summers.

Note -Start low and go slow. Don’t megadose either. Begin with half the recommended dose for the first week. Monitor how your digestion, sleep, and energy shift in the first 2–3 weeks.

So DIvya ashawashila cap=1-0-1 cap with milk/water twice daily is better Bcz it’s includes both extraction of ashwagandha and shilajeet too

Both shilajith& Aswaganda are super good medicines which are effectively using in Ayurveda, But for a General health concern which includes both mental and physical health, I suggest Aswaganda (That doesn’t means Shilajith is weaker/less effective) than Shilajith.

Aswaganda you can have in powder form/tablet form/ Lehya form

That’s where our classical tools come in—Ksharasutra therapy, Agnikarma, and a few other para-surgical techniques we follow from the Samhitas...they’ve been lifesavers honestly. My work here pushes me to keep refining surgical precision while also sticking to the Ayurvedic core. I do rely on modern diagnostics when needed, but I won’t replace the value of a well-done Nadi Pariksha or assessing dosha-vikruti in depth. Most of my patients come with pain, fear, and usually after a couple of rounds of either incomplete surgeries or just being fed painkillers n antibiotics. And I totally get that frustration. That’s why I combine surgery with a whole support plan—Ayurvedic meds, diet changes, lifestyle tweaks that actually match their prakriti. Not generic stuff off a handout. Over time, I’ve seen that when people follow the whole protocol, not just the procedure part, the recurrence drops a lot. I’m quite particular about follow-up and wound care too, ‘cause we’re dealing with delicate areas here and ignoring post-op can ruin outcomes. Oh and yeah—I care a lot about educating folks too.
