Noting your symptoms, such as the recurrent mouth ulcer, ear pain, swollen tongue, and burning sensation, suggests it may be indicative of a persistent imbalance in your body, likely related to aggravated Pitta dosha. Pitta dosha, associated with heat and inflammation, can lead to these burning and ulcer-like symptoms. Although the MRI did not show any abnormalities, it’s essential to seek further medical evaluation given the ongoing nature of your symptoms, particularly due to the ear pain, to rule out chronic infections or other underlying conditions.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, addressing Pitta imbalance can help. Begin with dietary modifications: avoid hot, spicy, oily, and acidic foods that can worsen Pitta. Instead, incorporate cooling foods like cucumbers, coconut water, and lots of green leafy vegetables. Hydration is key, so ensure you’re drinking sufficient water, aiming for about 2 liters a day unless contraindicated.

Herbal remedies may offer relief. Licorice root (Mulethi) can help with ulcers and inflammation - chew a small piece or take it as a mild tea twice a day. Triphala, a traditional herbal preparation, can help balance all three doshas and improve digestion, thereby supporting reduced inflammation. Take it at bedtime with warm water.

For local application, rinse the mouth with a decoction of Triphala. It’s soothing and cleansing, and may help with healing the ulcers. Turmeric with honey can be applied cautiously on the tongue ulcers as it has anti-inflammatory properties.

Try to manage stress through relaxation techniques like yoga or meditation, as stress can aggravate Pitta. Avoid alcohol, tobacco, and excess caffeine, as these can exacerbate symptoms.

Monitor your symptoms closely, and if the ear pain or burning sensation worsens, consult with a healthcare provider promptly. Your health should always take precedence, and professional guidance may be crucial.

Recurring symptoms like a swollen tongue, burning sensation, and persistent ulcers could be indicating an imbalance in your doshas, particularly pitta, which tends to manifest as heat-related issues in the body. It’s essential to consider possible reasons for aggravating pitta—such as stress, spicy food, or high consumption of acidic foods.

The situation benefits from a balanced approach. Begin by reviewing your diet. Avoid hot, spicy, and salty foods. Incorporating cooling foods and drinks can be beneficial, such as fresh coconut water, cucumber, or aloevera juice, which help to pacify the pitta. Likewise, ensure you’re drinking plenty of water—a hydrated body aids in balancing internal processes.

For immediate relief, a topical application of fresh coriander leaf paste on the tongue can help alleviate burning sensation. You might also gargle with a concoction of water steeped with licorice (mulethi) which is soothing for mucous membranes.

Consider practicing yoga and pranayama exercises, which may alleviate stress and regulate doshas, aiding the healing process. Simple deep breathing exercises also help in reducing overall body heat.

However, given the recurring nature of your symptoms and involvement of ear pain, it’s essential not to delay further medical evaluation. Though MRI showed no alarming issues, the persistence warrants a thorough check-up by an ear, nose, and throat specialist to rule out any possible underlying concerns. Prioritize seeking timely medical advice alongside Ayurvedic practices for a holistic approach to your health.

Thanks so much for clarifying this! I had no idea mixing meds could be risky. I'll stick to my doctor's meds and look into Ayurveda separately.
