Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a chronic inflammatory condition affecting the colon, and Ayurveda treats it by focusing on balancing the Pitta dosha, which causes inflammation and digestive disturbances. Ayurvedic remedies like Kutaj (Holarrhena antidysenterica) help reduce inflammation and diarrhea, Pippali (Long Pepper) improves digestion, and Aloe Vera soothes and heals the gut lining. Turmeric, with its anti-inflammatory properties, also supports healing. A Pitta-pacifying diet, consisting of cooked, cooling foods like soups, rice, and ghee, helps manage symptoms, while avoiding spicy, acidic, and heavy foods. Regular Panchakarma therapies such as Basti (medicated enemas) and Virechana (purging) detoxify the body and balance Pitta. Incorporating yoga and pranayama (breathing exercises) can reduce stress, which exacerbates UC, and improve digestion. Ulcerative colitis jana mai kitni problems de sakta hai, iska mujhe andaza hai. Jab teen saal se aap kisi cheez se fight kar rahe ho aur relief nahi milta, to frustration hona obvious hai. Chalo, kuch Ayurvedic approaches ki baat karte hain jo iss samasya ko samajhne aur manage karne mai madad kar sakte hain.

Sabse pehle, ulcerative colitis ko Ayurveda mai pitta dosha se linked dekha jata hai, particularly, pachaka pitta aur apana vayu ka imbalance hota hai. Isme agni – jo aapka digestive fire hai – isko balance karna bahut zaroori hai. Hum pehle diet ka dhyan dete hain isiliye garam, teekha, oily aur bahut spicy cheezen avoid karni chahiye. Zyada namak bhi pitta ko bhrasht kar sakta hai, so sambhaal ke use karein.

Khaane mai aap moong dal, rice, dahi (bilkul fresh aur mild), karela, tori aur palak la sakte hain. Ghee use karna beneficial hota hai, thoda sa haldi by adding in khana bhi pancshila hota hai. Jal samyukt, easy-to-digest food pe focus karein. Cold drinks, dairy products aur processed food jitna avoid kar sakte hain, karen.

Ek aur zaroori cheez ye hai ki aap apne stress levels pe control rakhein. Stress pitta aur vata ko bhida deta hai, aur condition ko aur bigaad sakta hai. Kuch pranayama jese Anulom Vilom, aur meditation se relaxation me madad milti hai.
