I’ve been struggling with dark circles under my eyes for as long as I can remember. They’ve been a part of my life for years, and no matter what I try, they don’t seem to go away. I’ve tried various creams and treatments, but nothing has really worked long-term. I’ve even been getting more sleep lately, but the dark circles are still there. I feel self-conscious about them, especially since they make me look more tired than I actually am. I’ve heard that dark circles can be caused by many different factors, such as lack of sleep, dehydration, or even genetics, but I’m starting to wonder if there’s something deeper going on. I’ve tried some over-the-counter products, but they only seem to mask the problem temporarily. I want to find a permanent solution, and I’ve heard that Ayurveda might have some natural remedies for dark circles. I’ve read that Ayurvedic treatments like using almond oil, cucumber, or rosewater can help reduce dark circles, but I’m not sure how effective these really are. Ok, so let’s get into the nitty-gritty of Ayurveda here. Those circles? Considered a Vata and Pitta imbalance. Vata increases dryness, and Pitta can cause redness or that darker pigmentation. So what do we do?

Almond Oil is a good start. Massage, gently, a drop of almond oil around your eyes before bed. Sounds too simple, I know, but give it a couple of months. Add a pinch of turmeric sometimes, its anti-inflammatory properties are like, gold!

Eye strain might also be a hidden culprit – it’s worth trying some eye exercises: Palming or Tratak (candle gazing) might soothe stress around those muscles. Mindful stuff! And don’t forget the holy trio - sleep, hydration, and good fats. Sneak in avocados, ghee, even a banana routine.
