I’ve been dealing with a lot of hair loss lately, and I can’t figure out why. I haven’t changed my shampoo, I oil my hair regularly, and I try to eat healthy. But no matter what I do, I keep noticing more strands in the shower drain and on my pillow. Recently, a friend told me that eating too much rice can lead to hair fall. This was surprising to me because I eat rice almost every day. Now I’m wondering—does rice cause hair loss? I grew up eating rice with almost every meal, and it never seemed to be a problem before. But over the past few months, I feel like my hair has become weaker and thinner. Could the rice be affecting my hair health in some way? Is there something in rice that contributes to hair fall? Or is it because I might not be getting enough protein or other nutrients by eating too much rice? I also read that Ayurveda recommends balancing foods according to doshas.
