It sounds like you're experiencing chronic digestive issues that could be linked to an imbalance in your digestive system, possibly involving Vata dosha in Ayurveda, which governs movement and digestion. In Ayurveda, symptoms like gas, bloating, and intolerance to foods (like dairy and bread) may indicate a disturbance in your Agni (digestive fire). Over time, improper digestion can lead to the accumulation of Ama (toxins) that further disrupt the digestive process. To address this, Ayurveda offers a holistic approach, focusing on diet, lifestyle, and herbs: Diet: Avoid cold, heavy, and processed foods. Focus on easily digestible, warm, cooked meals that balance your Agni, such as soups, stews, and porridges. Eating smaller, more frequent meals can also help ease digestion. Herbs: Consider Ayurvedic herbs like Triphala, Ajwain (carom seeds), and Ginger, which support digestion and reduce bloating. Fennel seeds and cumin can also be beneficial for relieving gas and bloating. Lifestyle: Engage in regular light exercise like walking to stimulate digestion. Avoid eating late at night, and practice mindful eating by chewing your food slowly to aid digestion. Consult an Ayurvedic Practitioner: To address specific food intolerances and digestive issues, seeking personalized guidance from an Ayurvedic practitioner is recommended for a tailored plan.

Ah, gas and bloating can really throw a wrench into your daily life, not to mention the discomfort. Your symptoms might suggest an imbalance in your doshas, particularly Vata, which is connected to movement and can lead to bloating when out of balance. Also, this constant bloating after eating indicates that your digestive fire, or agni, might need some attention. First, let's talk about your diet. Since you've developed lactose intolerance, you've got to be super careful with dairy. But that's not the end of delicious foods for you. Let's look at alternatives! You might find almond milk or oat milk to be good substitutes – experiment to see what your body handles better. As for the bread, have you tried gluten-free options? Sometimes it's gluten sneaking around causing trouble. Also, fermented foods, which are actually easy to digest and can nurture the gut, might be worth a try, like homemade yogurt (if lactose-free) or sauerkraut. Pay attention to how you eat, too. Eat mindfully and slowly, in a calm environment, not when you're stressed or on the move. Sounds simple, but it really makes a big difference. Chewing well activates digestive enzymes before the food even hits your stomach. Avoid cold meals and raw foods, which can aggravate Vata. Warm, cooked meals with plenty of spices like ginger and cumin, which stimulate your agni, can help. Consider adding a bit of ajwain or fennel seeds after meals to aid digestion and reduce gas. Warm water sipped through the day is good as well, helping to keep your system in balance without unsettling Vata further. Yoga and pranayama can also work wonders. Poses like Pavanmuktasana (Wind-Relieving Pose) and gentle spinal twists can support in relieving gas and improving digestion. Start with short sessions and see what feels best. But look, since your symptoms have been ongoing for years, it's best to also reach out for a deeper Ayurvedic consultation with a practitioner who could look at your specific constitution and get to know what’s really behind it. Real personalized attention could fine-tune these suggestions to what your bod really needs. You know what I mean?
