Hello Eshika, could you share more about your lifestyle, such as your diet, stress levels, sleep patterns, and skincare routine? Have you noticed any specific triggers for your acne flare-ups, like certain foods, hormonal changes, or environmental factors? It would also be helpful to know if you've had any blood tests to check for hormonal imbalances or deficiencies, as this could be a factor. Additionally, have you been using any medications or topical treatments, and how consistent has your skincare regimen been?

Let's dive into a detailed approach on dealing with acne and its lingering marks, While also addressing those stubborn dark circles you're facing. First, let's consider your dosha imbalances, since acne can often be a sign of increased Pitta in the body. Excess pitta is associated with heat, that might manifest as inflammation or skin issues. Start by Incorporating foods that balance pitta—think cooling, hydrating, and sweet foods like cucumber, cilantro and sweet fruits like melons or grapes. Minimize overly spicy, fried, or sour foods, as they might provoke pitta and worsen skin conditions. Drinking Aloe vera juice in the morning (empty stomach!) might also help reducing inflammation and improving digestion. Applying Ayurvedic treatments such as a neem face mask 2-3 times a week can be beneficial. Mix neem powder with rose water to form a paste and apply it to affected areas, leaving it on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing. Turmeric, known for its anti-inflammatory properties, can also be mixed into this paste. Patch test first! Its potent and can cause yellow stain. For those pesky dark circles, placing chilled cucumber slices or bags of used green tea over the eyes can help lighten them and reduce puffiness. Triphala powder, a gentle and balancing mixture of three fruits, can support overall detoxification which might in turn improve skin clarity. Consider taking half to one teaspoon in warm water, preferably before bed. Highlighting the importance of a consistent skincare routine with natural products that suit your skin type is crucial, use gentle, non-comedogenic products that don't clog your pores. Furthermore, ensure adequate hydration, aim for at least 2 liters of water per day. Apart from diet and topical treatments, ensure that stress is managed effectively, as it can contribute to acne flare-ups. Practicing yoga or engaging in breathing exercises can be really helpful, aiding both your mind & body in achieving equilibrium. Always use graet caution with ayurvedic remedies alongside any medication you might be taking, and please consult with a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your health routine. If it persists or worsen, seek advice from a dermatologist to rule out any underlying issues that might not be fixed with home remedies alone.
