You may not need a hysterectomy if symptoms are managed with Ayurvedic care and regular follow-ups. Ashokarishta – 15 ml with equal water twice daily after meals Kanchanar Guggulu – 1 tablet twice daily after meals (helps shrink polyps) Nagkesar churna – 1 tsp with honey twice daily (stops bleeding) Praval Pishti – 125 mg with honey twice daily (cooling & stops bleeding) ✅ Dos: Warm, light, cooked meals (avoid heavy/oily foods) Practice gentle yoga and abhyanga (oil massage) with sesame oil Manage stress—emotional strain can worsen hormonal issues ❌ Don’ts: Avoid spicy, sour, or fermented foods Avoid caffeine, processed sugar, and late nights

It's understandable that you're seeking a solution for heavy menstrual bleeding due to a uterine polyp. In Ayurveda, we aim to treat the root cause and support the body's natural healing mechanisms without invasive procedures whenever possible. However, if medical intervention is necessary, it's important to follow a healthcare provider's guidance. Heavy menstrual bleeding, known as raktapradar or asrigdara, can be attributed to a dosha imbalance, primarily of the pitta dosha, which can increase heat and inflammation. This might be exacerbated by diet, lifestyle, and stress factors. Ayurveda offers several holistic approaches that may help before considering surgical options like removing the uterus. You might find relief by incorporating these suggestions into your lifestyle: 1. **Dietary Adjustments:** Focus on a pitta-pacifying diet. Cool, calming foods like cucumbers, watermelon, and leafy greens can help. Reduce or eliminate spicy, fried, and excessively sour foods as they can aggrevate pitta. More intake of ghee also soothes pitta. 2. **Herbs and Formulations:** Shatavari is known for balancing female hormones and may help in regulating cycles. Ashoka is another herb that supports uterine health and can help manage bleeding. Consider Dashmoolarishta, a classical Ayurvedic formulation, which is beneficial for women's health. Consult an Ayurvedic practitioner to tailor these to your needs. 3. **Lifestyle Modifications:** Practicing gentle yoga or meditation can reduce stress, which often exacerbated pitta imbalances. Ensure you find time to relax and avoid overexertion. 4. **Avoidance of Heat and Stress:** Keep the body cool, avoid hot and humid environments, and practice stress reduction techniques. Turn to cooling essential oils like sandalwood or rose for their soothing properties. 5. **Regular Ayurvedic Consultations:** Working with an experienced Ayurvedic practitioner will help monitor your progress and adjust treatments as needed. While Ayurveda offers supportive strategies, heavy bleeding often requires medical attention. If you experience severe symptoms or anemia, it's crucial to consult a healthcare professional swiftly. In some cases, surgical intervention can offer immediate relief. Each approach should be evaluated with careful respect to your overall health and personal circumstances. Remember that the integration of Ayurvedic practices in conjunction with modern medical treatments can be a powerful approach in managing your health concerns.
