Addressing your health concerns through an Ayurvedic approach involves understanding the underlying imbalances and working towards correcting them in a holistic manner. The fibroids and PCOS you're experiencing suggest a likely kapha and pitta imbalance. Managing these conditions involves a combination of dietary, lifestyle, and therapeutic recommendations. Start by focusing on your diet to support iron absorption and balance your doshas. Include iron-rich foods like sesame seeds,, lentils, spinach, and raisins. Prepare raisin water by soaking a handful of raisins in water overnight and drink it in the morning, as it may help improve iron levels. Avoid consuming caffeine and calcium-rich foods immediately with meals, as they can hinder iron absorption. To help reduce inflammation and manage your weight, incorporate foods that pacify kapha dosha. Choose lighter grains like barley or millet, and include plenty of vegetables like leafy greens, carrots, and squash. It's important to minimize dairy, sugar, and heavy or oily foods which can exacerbate kapha. Establishing a consistent daily routine will help manage your thyroid function and support your body's natural rhythms. Try to wake up early, before sunrise, as this aids in balancing kapha. Practicing gentle yoga and pranayama, such as kapalbhati and nadi shodhana, can support hormonal balance and reduce stress, which in turn may affect your overall health and fertility positively. As hypothyroidism involves digestion, focus on enhancing your agni (digestive fire). You can sip warm water throughout the day and add ginger in your meals to boost digestion. Avoid cold foods and drinks, which can dampen your agni. A regular detox with triphala at bedtime can help. Consider Ayurvedic formulations like Ashwagandha and Shatavari, as they are known to support reproductive health and energy levels, but ensure to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting any new herbs. Lastly, addressing heavy bleeding and infertility requires personalized guidance. If you are experience ongoing issues, consulting a specialist for further evaluation and tailored treatment is highly advised. Do not delay in seeking medical attention if you experience severe symptoms; Ayurveda should complement not replace necessary medical treatments.
