Namaste kriti Verma Thank you for sharing your health journey. I can sense that it is too difficult to deal with multiple health concern at such a young age- pcos , obesity, hirsutism, hormonal imbalance, low haemoglobin, and splenomegaly, Even after trying Ayurvedic medicine for almost 3 months, when there is no any positive result, it’s even more stressing, but let me assure you, you are on the right path, in Ayurveda healing is deep, holistic and individualised. It mainly works on during the disease from root cause doesn’t treat symptomatically as we see in modern science. So this take some time, especially when there is chronic condition which has developed since many years. When I look at your symptoms from Ayurvedic view, it is a classic case of aggravated KAPHA and VATA DOSHA with a CV state of DHATU AGNI MANDYA-poor metabolism at the tissue level, especially RASA RAKTA and MEDA DHATUS(plasma, blood, and fat tissue) In PCOS, there is accumulation of AMA (toxic, and un digested matter) which blocks the channels, particularly the reproductive system. This combined with hormonal imbalance leads to irregular cycles, obesity, unwanted hair growth, and sluggish metabolism . An enar larged spleen might be due to chronic low grade inflammation, poor, lymphatic drainage and RAKTA dusthi-impurity, or deficiency in the blood tissue The Ayurvedic medicines, which you’re taking or excellent choices While all these are correct prescriptions individually in complex multisystem disorders like yours healing cannot be expected within a few weeks or even a few months, Ayurveda doesn’t offer fast fixes. Instead it offers sustainable healing. The duration of treatment for PCOS and associated symptoms can rate from months to few years, depending upon how disciplined you are with your diet, lifestyle and mental health. And even regular follow, also important if you die lifestyle and mental state are not in alignment with your healing, even the best of medicines may not show their full effect You have mentioned that you haven’t seen any result. I just want to ask what kind of results are you expecting as your period improve even slightly as the bloating, swelling or hair fall changed?? Sometimes the results in internal balance come first before visible science like weight loss, hirsutism It is also important to check if the dosage is timing of medication and dietary corrections have been quietly followed Are you avoiding diary, sugar old foods and gluten? Are you moving your body daily with light to moderate exercise? Are you enduring that you’re taking freshly cook warm meals that helps improving digestive fire? You should also know that when multiple systems like screen, liver hormones and reproductive tracks or involved healing will take place layer by layer First AMA needs to be cleared, then adi needs to be restored. Only then the DOSHAS will settle on the body will begin to regenerate balance in your hormones and metabolism If anaemia is severe, it may take 3 to 6 months for haemglobin alone to reach normal levels, especially when RAKTADHATU AGNI is impaired that in itself is a big indicator of your overall weakness and poor tissue metabolism You’re just 22, your body still has great regenerated potential if guided properly and supported gently, but consistently please don’t get disconnected by the lack of fast results. You’re not just healing your ovaries or your weight. You’re healing your whole internal system. This is a long-term investment to your future health fertility, emotional stability, and confidence, stick to your path trust your body and continue to stay in touch with your Ayurvedic doctor for periodic evaluation and adjustment I can promise you with consistency unfair, you will see the results

Given your situation with PCOS, obesity, hirsutism, hormone imbalance, and spleen enlargement, it’s understandable to be anxious about seeing results. The Ayurvedic treatments and herbs you’ve mentioned, like Kanchanar Guggulu, Punarnavadi Mandoor, Irosan, Shatavari Kalp, and Sundar Sanjivini, are generally considered beneficial for addressing such issues as they aim to balance the doshas and improve metabolism.

It is essential to remember that Ayurveda, being a holistic system, often requires time for noticeable results. It’s not merely about symptom management but targeting the underlying imbalances that caused these health issues in the first place. That being said, three months is a relatively short period in Ayurvedic treatment duration.

For PCOS, a common kapha imbalance, continued effort towards reducing kapha dosha by lifestyle and dietary changes is crucial. Focus on consuming lighter, warmer foods with spices like ginger and turmeric to boost digestion, prevent stagnation, and support your agni or digestive fire. Minimize fatty, too-sweet, processed foods and try incorporating practices like yoga which can improve circulation and hormone balance.

Your low hemoglobin levels indicate the need for including iron-rich foods such as beetroot, pomegranate, and leafy greens like spinach in your diet, alongside nourishing recipes recommended by your Ayurvedic practitioner.

Regarding your spleen enlargement, it’s important to continue monitoring with both your Ayurvedic and conventional medical practitioners to ensure it doesn’t pose other health risks.

Communication with your Ayurvedic doctor about your lack of progress is vital. They might adjust your treatment plan, including modifications in herbs and diet, fine-tuning them to match your body’s current needs. They can also guide you on the prognosis based on those adjustments. Do not modify doses or stop taking prescribed medicines without consulting them. In the interim, practicing patience and abiding by the complete lifestyle and dietary recommendations can pave a smoother journey to regain your health.

Dr. Surya Bhagwati
I am a Senior Ayurveda Physician with more than 28 years in this field — and trust me, it still surprises me how much there is to learn every single day. Over these years, I’ve had the chance to treat over 1 lakh patients (probably more by now honestly), both through in-person consults and online. Some come in with a mild cough, others with conditions no one’s been able to figure out for years. Each case brings its own rhythm, and that’s where real Ayurveda begins. I still rely deeply on classical tools — *Nadi Pariksha*, *Roga-Rogi Pariksha*, proper *prakriti-vikriti* mapping — not just ticking symptoms into a list. I don’t believe in ready-made cures or generic charts. Diagnosis needs attention. I look at how the disease behaves *inside* that specific person, which doshas are triggering what, and where the imbalance actually started (hint: it’s usually not where the pain is). Over the years I’ve worked with pretty much all age groups and all kinds of health challenges — from digestive upsets & fevers to chronic, autoimmune, hormonal, metabolic and degenerative disorders. Arthritis, diabetes, PCOD, asthma, thyroid... but also things like unexplained fatigue or joint swelling that comes and goes randomly. Many of my patients had already “tried everything else” before they walked into Ayurveda, and watching their systems respond slowly—but surely—is something I don’t take lightly. My line of treatment usually combines herbal formulations (classical ones, not trendy ones), Panchakarma detox when needed, and realistic dietary and lifestyle corrections. Long-term healing needs long-term clarity — not just short bursts of symptom relief. And honestly, I tell patients that too. I also believe patient education isn’t optional. I explain things. Why we’re doing virechana, why the oil changed mid-protocol, why we pause or shift the meds after a few weeks. I want people to feel involved, not confused. Ayurveda works best when the patient is part of the process, not just receiving instructions. Even now I keep learning — through texts, talks, patient follow-ups, sometimes even mistakes that taught me what not to do. And I’m still committed, still fully into it. Because for me, this isn’t just a job. It’s a lifelong responsibility — to restore balance, protect *ojas*, and help each person live in tune with themselves. That’s the real goal.

Dr. Garima Mattu
I am working in Ayurveda for about 2 years now, mainly around gynecological problems, which I honestly feel are way more common than most people realise. I see a lot of women struggling silently with issues like irregular periods, cramps that just don’t stop, mood swings, PCOS kind of symptoms... sometimes they come in after trying a bunch of stuff already n nothing really works long-term. That’s where I try to bring in a more rooted approach. I use a mix of Ayurvedic principles, dietetics (like food based on dosha & body type etc), and yoga therapy to manage these conditions. It’s not just about reducing pain during periods or balancing hormones—it’s more like trying to understand what’s causing the imbalances in the first place. I spend time trying to map the prakriti-vikriti profile and see how stress, food, daily habits are impacting the cycle. I don’t rush things, coz honestly healing isn't linear and doesn't follow some fixed timeline. And not everyone wants to jump into panchakarma straightaway either, right? Also pain management is a big part of my work. Whether it’s period cramps or pelvic pain, or even chronic stuff tied to digestion and fatigue, I look at how we can ease that naturally. Sometimes through simple things like castor oil packs, or subtle shifts in routine, other times I may recommend herbs or formulations. Yoga plays a huge role too, esp. when the body feels stuck or inflamed. Not gym-style yoga, more therapeutic.. breath n movement syncing with dosha correction, that kind of thing. To be honest, I’m still learning—Ayurveda’s depth is huge, and I feel like I’m just getting started. But what I do know is, when I see women begin to trust their own body’s rhythm again, that’s really powerful. Makes all the effort worth it. Even small relief matters. It's not perfect, sometimes things take longer, sometimes we need to adjust mid-way... but it's real.

Dr. Akshay Negi
I am currently pursuing my MD in Panchakarma, and by now I carry 3 yrs of steady clinical experience. Panchakarma for me is not just detox or some fancy retreat thing — it’s the core of how Ayurveda actually works to reset the system. During my journey I’ve handled patients with arthritis flares, chronic back pain, migraine, digestive troubles, hormonal imbalance, even skin and stress-related disorders... and in almost every case Panchakarma gave space for deeper healing than medicines alone. Working hands-on with procedures like Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, and Raktamokshana gave me a lot of practical insight. It's not just about performing the therapy, but understanding timing, patient strength, diet before and after, and how their mind-body reacts to cleansing. Some respond quick, others struggle with initial discomfort, and that’s where real patient support matters. I learnt to watch closely, adjust small details, and guide them through the whole process safely. My approach is always patient-centric. I don’t believe in pushing the same package to everyone. I first assess prakriti, agni, mental state, lifestyle, then decide what works best. Sometimes full Panchakarma isn’t even needed — simple modifications, herbs, or limited therapy sessions can bring results. And when full shodhana is required, I plan it in detail with proper purvakarma & aftercare, cause that’s what makes outcomes sustainable. The last few years made me more confident not just in procedures but in the philosophy behind them. Panchakarma isn’t a quick fix — it demands patience, discipline, trust. But when done right, it gives relief that lasts, and that’s why I keep refining how I practice it.

Dr. Sara Garg
I am someone who believes Ayurveda isn’t just some old system — it’s alive, and actually still works when you use it the way it's meant to be used. My practice mostly revolves around proper Ayurvedic diagnosis (rogi & roga pariksha types), Panchakarma therapies, and ya also a lot of work with herbal medicine — not just prescribing but sometimes preparing stuff myself when needed. I really like that hands-on part actually, like knowing where the herbs came from and how they're processed... changes everything. One of the things I pay a lot of attention to is how a person's lifestyle is playing into their condition. Food, sleep, bowel habits, even small emotional patterns that people don't even realize are affecting their digestion or immunity — I look at all of it before jumping to treatment. Dietary therapy isn’t just telling people to eat less fried food lol. It’s more about timing, combinations, seasonal influence, and what suits their prakriti. That kind of detail takes time, and sometimes patients don’t get why it matters at first.. but slowly it clicks. Panchakarma — I do it when I feel it's needed. Doesn’t suit everyone all the time, but in the right case, it really clears the stuck layers. But again, it's not magic — people need to prep properly and follow instructions. That's where strong communication matters. I make it a point to explain everything without dumping too much Sanskrit unless they’re curious. I also try to keep things simple, like I don’t want patients feeling intimidated or overwhelmed with 10 things at once. We go step by step — sometimes slow, sometimes quick depending on the case. There’s no “one protocol fits all” in Ayurveda and frankly I get bored doing same thing again and again. Whether it’s a fever that won’t go or long-term fatigue or gut mess — I usually go deep into what's behind it. Surface-level fixes don’t last. I rather take the time than rush into wrong herbs. It’s more work, ya, but makes a diff in long run.

Dr. Snehal Vidhate
I am Dr. Snehal Vidhate, born n brought up in Maharashtra—and honestly, for as long as I remember I’ve felt this pull towards Ayurveda. Not the fancy version ppl throw around, but the deep, real kind that actually helps ppl. I did my BAMS from YMT Ayurvedic Medical College in Kharghar. That’s where I got my basics strong—like really studied the shastras, understood prakriti, doshas, the whole deal. Not just crammed theory but started to see how it shows up in real lives. After finishing BAMS, I got into this one-year certificate course at Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, Delhi—honestly a turning point. I was super lucky to learn Kerala Ayurveda from my Guru, Prof. Dr. G.G. Gangadharan. He’s got this way of seeing things... simple but deep. That time with him taught me more than any textbook ever could. It kinda reshaped how I look at health, healing n how precise Ayurveda can be when you respect its roots. Right now I’m doing my MD in Panchakarma from SDM Ayurveda College, Bangalore. This place is like a hub for serious Ayurveda work. The Panchakarma training here? Super intense. We go deep into detoxification & rasayana therapy—not just theory again, but hands-on. I’m learning to blend classical techniques with today’s clinical demands.. like how to make Vamana or Basti actually doable in modern patient setups. My current practice is really about merging tradition with logic. Whether it’s chronic skin issues, gut problems, stress burnout or hormone stuff—my goal is to get to the root, not just hush the symptoms. I use Panchakarma when needed, but also a lot of ahara-vihara tweaks, medhya herbs, sometimes just slowing ppl down a bit helps. I really believe Ayurveda’s power is in its simplicity when done right. I don’t try to fix ppl—I work *with* them. And honestly, every patient teaches me something back.

Dr. Atul Painuli
I am Vaidya Atul Painuli, currently working as an Ayurvedic Consultant at Patanjali Chikitsalaya, Delhi... been here a while now. My focus from the start—over 10+ yrs in this field—has been to stay true to what Ayurveda *actually* is, not just surface-level remedies or buzzwords. I’ve treated a wide mix of patients, from people battling chronic illnesses to those just looking to fix their lifestyle before it leads to disease (which is v underrated tbh). During these years, I kinda shaped my practice around the idea that one solution never fits all. Whether it’s diabetes, gut disorders, stress-related problems or hormone issues—everything goes back to the root, the *nidana*. I usually go with classic Ayurvedic meds, but I mix it up with Panchakarma, diet tweaks and daily routine correction, depending on the case. Most of the time, ppl don’t even realize how much their habits are feeding into the problem. It’s not just about herbs or massages... though those are important too. At Patanjali Chikitsalaya, I see patients from literally all walks of life—office-goers, elderly, even young kids sometimes. Everyone’s got something diff going on, which keeps me grounded. What I try to do is not just treat the symptoms but help ppl *see* what’s happening in their bodies and minds. Like Ayurveda says—if your digestion, sleep and emotions are off... then eventually health’s gonna wobble. I don’t promise quick results but I do stay with my patients through the process, adjusting things based on how they respond. That part makes a big difference I think. For me, Ayurveda isn’t a “last resort” kinda thing—it’s a system that can prevent 80% of the lifestyle diseases ppl suffer from today, if done right. My goal? Just to keep doing this in a way that feels real, grounded, and actually helps ppl—not overwhelm them with too much jargon or fear. Just practical, clean, honest healing.

Dr. Prasad Pentakota
I am Dr. P. Prasad, and I’ve been in this field for 20+ years now, working kinda across the board—General Medicine, Neurology, Dermatology, Cardiology—you name it. Didn’t start out thinking I’d end up spanning that wide, but over time, each area sort of pulled me in deeper. And honestly, I like that mix. It lets me look at a patient not just through one lens but a whole system-wide view... makes more sense when treating something that won’t fit neatly in one category. I’ve handled everything from day-to-day stuff like hypertension, diabetes, or skin infections to more serious neuro and cardiac problems. Some cases are quick—diagnose, treat, done. Others take time, repeated check-ins, figuring out what’s really going on beneath those usual symptoms. And that’s where the detail matters. I’m pretty big on thorough diagnosis and patient education—because half the problem is ppl just not knowing what’s happening inside their own body. What’s changed for me over years isn’t just knowledge, it’s how much I lean on listening. If you miss what someone didn’t say, you might also miss their actual illness. And idk, after seeing it play out so many times, I do believe combining updated medical practice with basic empathy really shifts outcomes. Doesn’t have to be complicated... it just has to be consistent. I keep up with research too—new drugs, diagnostics, cross-specialty updates etc., not because it’s trendy, but cuz it’s necessary. Patients come in better read now than ever. You can’t afford to fall behind. The end goal’s the same tho—help them heal right, not just fast. Ethical practice, evidence-based, and sometimes just being there to explain what’s going on. That’s what I stick to.

Dr. Suresh Bhat
I am the Chief Consulting Physician and CEO at Ayurbhoomi Health Care, where for the past 7+ yrs I have been fully into practicing classical, pure Ayurveda without diluting its roots. My journey has been focused on working as a Rasa Vaidya — dealing with herbo-mineral formulations, rasaushadhis, and classical therapies that demand precision but also give powerful results when used properly. At Ayurbhoomi, we specialize in chronic illnesses that usually trouble people for years — arthritis, digestive disorders, skin problems, neurological issues, hormonal imbalances, even lifestyle diseases like diabetes or obesity. Many patients come after trying multiple treatments with little relief, and that’s where Ayurveda shows its strength. I create treatment plans that combine classical chikitsa, Panchakarma where needed, yoga, and pathya-apathya guidance. Sometimes simple changes work, sometimes it takes months of close monitoring — but each case has to be personalized, no shortcuts. Over the years I’ve seen how blending Ayurveda with Yoga therapy creates more sustainable outcomes, especially for pain management, stress-related conditions, and metabolic disorders. Running Ayurbhoomi also means ensuring that quality of care is consistent, that patients feel safe, and that therapies are done with proper protocols. Managing both clinical care and administrative responsibilities hasn’t always been easy, but it helped me build a clearer vision of what true Ayurveda-based healthcare can look like in today’s world. My approach is always patient-first — rooted in authentic texts, practical in application, and guided by the idea that long-term healing happens only when the root cause is corrected. Ayurveda is not just about treating a disease name, it’s about restoring balance in body & mind together. That’s what I try to keep alive in every consultation and every treatment plan.

Dr. Janvi Dhera
I am a doctor who completed CCH and CGO from Wadia hospital, and that training gave me exposure not just in theory but also in handling patients with very diverse needs. Over time I have treated many cases of chronic skin conditions, gut related disorders and also anorectal issues like piles, fissure and similar complaints. Each case felt different, no two patients respond the same way, and I learnt how to adapt treatment according to prakriti, diet habits, stress levels. Skin problems always catch attention first — psoriasis, eczema, acne that stays for years — but I understood that they often start from inside, from digestion or blood impurities. Gut issues like acidity, constipation, IBS are also common in my practice, and here small corrections in food timing or herbs can change a lot. Anorectal cases, especially piles and fissure, are painful both physically and mentally for patients, so I try to bring a treatment plan that is safe, non-invasive when possible, and focused on long term relief not just temporary fixes. Working with such variety of disorders also taught me patience. Some patients want fast results, but Ayurveda needs time to clean the root cause. I explain them carefully, sometimes repeating many times, that slow healing is stronger healing. Building that trust is important. My approach is always to combine herbal formulations, diet advice, and lifestyle correction with procedures when required, to ensure balance is restored and maintained. For me, Ayurveda is not a set of ready remedies but a flexible science that adapts to each person. Whether it’s skin, gut or anorectal problems, my focus stays on listening, understanding and guiding patients with clarity, honesty and steady support.

I am a pediatrician working in Ayurveda since the last 8+ yrs. I did my masters in Kaumarbhritya (Ayurvedic pediatrics & neonatology) from MUHS Nasik, and honestly, that whole phase of study made me look at child health in a very diff way. I mean, kids are not just smaller adults... their agni, doshas, immunity (ojas) – all work diff and change super fast. And if we catch imbalances early, we can prevent sooo much future disease. That’s what keeps me drawn to this field again n again. I’ve been treating conditions like recurrent cough, digestive issues, low weight, delayed milestones, worm infestations, even stuff like hyperactive behaviour n sleep trouble. Some kids get better quickly, others need time n small course corrections. I like to work close with parents — answer all the “why’s” they bring, explain every step if I can. Sometimes they ask the same q’s multiple times, but I get it... they’re worried. I would be too. My core focus stays around strengthening immunity, gut health, and supporting proper development — both physical n mental. I use classical herbs, lehan, swarna prashan, and yes... lot of diet tweaking, too. I don’t believe in rushing or blindly copying textbook plans. Each child reacts diff. Ayurveda teaches you that if you listen well. I also work in rural setups sometimes, and tbh, the satisfaction there is just... something else. Fewer resources, more trust, more responsibility. Keeps me grounded. This work’s not flashy, but it’s real. And if the baby smiles, eats, sleeps, and the parents start sleeping again too... I know we’re on the right path.

I am a BAMS graduate and currently running my own clinic, where I see patients on a regular basis and try to give them honest, practical care. My daily work involves understanding different health concerns, listening properly to what the patient is going through, and then planning treatment in a way that actually fits their routine. I believe treatment should not feel confusing or rushed, and sometimes even small changes make a big difference. Running my own clinic has taught me a lot about responsibility and consistency. Some days are busy, some are slow, but every patient brings a different challenge and learning. I focus mainly on Ayurvedic treatment methods, lifestyle correction and long-term health balance, rather than quick fixes. There are times when progress takes longer, but I stay patient and keep working with the person step by step. I try to keep my approach simple, practical and honest. For me, real success is when a patient feels better in daily life, sleeps better, eats better and slowly regains balance. That is what keeps me going and improving every day.
