Dr. Sonali Dungarwal
I hold a Postgraduate degree in Panchakarma from Government Khushilal Ayurved College, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, where I received comprehensive training in classical Ayurvedic therapies. My academic journey has been rooted in the core principles of Ayurveda, and I have developed a particular interest in Panchakarma—the ancient system of detoxification and rejuvenation that restores balance and promotes long-term health. Throughout my education, I have deepened my understanding of disease management through personalized Panchakarma protocols. I’m skilled in administering treatments like Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, and Raktamokshana, which are tailored based on a patient’s Prakriti (body constitution), Dosha imbalances, and chronic health concerns. I also focus on lifestyle and dietary counseling, which complements therapeutic interventions and empowers patients in their healing journey. My approach to patient care is rooted in compassion, clinical precision, and a firm belief in the body's innate ability to heal when guided by natural therapies. Whether addressing chronic illnesses, metabolic disorders, joint and spine issues, or stress-related conditions, I prioritize holistic, root-cause treatment over symptom suppression. With a solid foundation from one of India's premier Ayurvedic institutions, I am committed to making authentic Panchakarma therapy more accessible and effective in modern clinical practice. My goal is to integrate time-tested Ayurvedic wisdom with patient-centered care, offering therapies that are not only curative but also preventive and rejuvenating. If you’re seeking authentic Ayurvedic solutions through Panchakarma, I welcome the opportunity to guide you toward better health and holistic well-being.

In Ayurveda, achieving a healthy weight involves strengthening your digestive fire, or agni, and ensuring proper nourishment of your dhatus, or body tissues. Given your goal of gaining 4-5 kg in two months, it's crucial to take a comprehensive approach that includes diet, lifestyle, and potentially additional Ayurvedic herbal recommendations, while ensuring they align with your prakriti and any presented doshic imbalances. Firstly, evaluated your dietary habits. Include nutrient-dense foods that enhance your agni. Incorporate moong dal, ghee, whole grains like brown rice, red rice, oats, and sweet fruits like mangoes, bananas, and figs into your diet. Milk and dairy products, like paneer and curd, are also nourishing, provided they're easily digestible for you. Cooked vegetables, especially root vegetables, can be beneficial; in small frequent meals will be more conducive to building weight effectively than larger, infrequent meals. Continue then with lifestyle adjustments. Aim for regular, balanced meal times and sufficient rest. Avoid stress as it can further disrupt your digestive balance. Moderate exercise, like yoga and light strength exercises, can help in muscle building, crucial for healthy weight gain. Concentrate on postures that encourage grounding and balance, such as Vajrasana and Tadasana, to support your digestive health and appetite. In terms of Ayurvedic therapeutics, Ashwagandha churna or ashwagandha tablets, known for its rejuvenative and nourishment properties, can be an effective addition to your regimen. Mixed with warm milk, ashwagandha can stimulate the body's anabolic processes and aid in weight gain. Consider taking 1/2 to 1 teaspoon once or twice a day after meals. Another possibility is Shatavari, which can also be useful in promoting body strength and mass; in specific cases can complemented with ashwagandha. Consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner before starting these to ensure they suit your body constitution. About Laavanya Bhaskar, continue until receiving guidance on any alternative approach if your current treatment seems ineffective. Further evaluation may be necessary to address any underlying or overlooked factors hindering weight gain, such as malabsorption or stress-induced factors. If there's still no improvement, consult again with your Ayurveda professional to personalize further based on evolving health patterns. Lastly, please consult your healthcare provider before taking any new herbal supplements, especially if you're already under specific treatments or have other health conditions.
