Hello, Please share details of your reports for further advice and treatment…
Your symptoms suggest an imbalance in your doshas, possibly Pitta and Kapha, which could be affecting your skin and metabolism. Addressing these imbalances can help in managing conditions like high cholesterol and prediabetes while also targeting the skin inflammation and improving overall well-being.
1. Dietary Changes: Opt for a Pitta-Kapha pacifying diet. Avoid spicy, oily, and heavily processed foods which can aggravate Pitta. Instead, emphasize fresh vegetables, whole grains (barley, quinoa), and lentils. Incorporate cooling herbs like cilantro, mint, and cucumber in your meals to help calm Pitta. For cholesterol, include healthy fats like ghee in moderation, and increase consumption of oats and almonds which help regulate cholesterol levels. Turmeric, known for its anti-inflammatory and antihyperglycemic properties, can be beneficial; aim for a daily intake in your meals or as golden milk.
2. Lifestyle Adjustments: Ensure regular physical activity like walking or yoga, which helps in balancing both Pitta and Kapha. Practice Pranayama (breathing exercises) like Sheetali and Nadi Shodhana, which can help cool Pitta and promote mental clarity helping improve the sleep.
3. Herbal Remedies: Apply a paste of neem and turmeric on the affected skin areas to help reduce inflammation and relieve the eczema-like condition. Ashwagandha, known for its adaptogenic properties, might support stress management and help improve sleep quality; take as advised by an Ayurveda practitioner.
4. Sleep Hygiene: Establish a consistent sleep routine. Try warm milk with a pinch of nutmeg and cardamom before bed to aid relaxation, calming both Pitta and Kapha before sleep.
5. Regular Consultation: Given the complexity of your symptoms, it is crucial to have regular consultations with an Ayurvedic practitioner to monitor your progress and adjust your regimen as needed. Additionally, consult with your healthcare provider for conditions like high cholesterol and prediabetes, which require medical supervision.
Remember, patience and consistency in implementing these changes are key to seeing improvements in your health.
For addressing your various concerns, including high cholesterol, prediabetes, and skin inflammation, it’s essential to understand your body constitution, or prakriti, and potential dosha imbalance. Your symptoms suggest an imbalance primarily in the pitta dosha, which can manifest as inflammation and metabolic irregularities.
First, let’s talk about cholesterol and prediabetes. In Siddha-Ayurveda, the focus is on balancing the digestive fire, or agni, to support metabolism. Including warm, easy-to-digest foods can help. Consider starting your day with a glass of warm water with lemon to stimulate your digestion. Add spices like turmeric, cumin, and coriander, which help to improve metabolism and reduce inflammation. Avoid processed foods, excessive sugar, and fried items that may aggravate your condition.
For your skin issues, applying coconut oil mixed with neem powder can help soothe and moisturize. Neem has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties beneficial for conditions like eczema and psoriasis. You should apply this mixture to affected areas twice daily. Be mindful of hot and spicy foods, as they can exacerbate skin conditions related to pitta imbalance.
To address your sleep troubles, consider practicing Pranayama and meditation before bed. Stay away from screens for at least an hour before bedtime. Drinking a cup of warm milk with a pinch of turmeric at night can help induce restful sleep; this also benefits your dry skin by nourishing it from within.
Acute stomach aches after long gaps between meals might be due to erratic eating habits affecting your digestive fire. Try eating smaller, more frequent meals to keep your agni balanced.
Since you mentioned protein in your urine, I would highly recommend seeking further examination from a healthcare professional, as this might require immediate conventional medical attention to rule out kidney-related issues.
The advice provided aims to address root causes holistically, but ongoing symptoms might need direct medical intervention, so maintaining regular check-ups with healthcare providers is crucial.
