Premature ejaculation and can't hold erectio - #31484
I am facing PME andul unable to sustain erection for long hardly 30 to 60 sec. From last 1 year I am also facing lack of morning erection I think that could be because of daily masturbation. I tried avoiding masturbation couple of days then I get morning erections. Is all this happening because of daily masturbation? Is there any blood test should do?

The struggles you’re facing with premature ejaculation and difficulty sustaining erections could be influenced by multiple factors, including psychological aspects, overall lifestyle, and possibly frequent masturbation. Excessive indulgence in certain habits like masturbation can sometimes lead to a temporary reduction in sexual sensitivity or changes in natural arousal patterns, such as morning erections. However, this alone may not fully explain these issues.
In Ayurveda, we look at such concerns through the lens of dosha imbalances, particularly Vata and Pitta. A Pitta and Vata imbalance could cause stress, anxiety, or disturbed energetic flow, affecting your sexual vitality. To get a clearer picture, a few actions can be take:
1. Diet and Lifestyle Adjustments: Incorporate foods that are grounding and nourishing to calm Vata and Pitta. Warm, cooked meals with ghee, whole grains, nuts like almonds and walnuts, and seasonal fruits are beneficial. Avoid excessive caffeine, spicy, and fried foods which aggravate Pitta. Engage in regular exercise but not excessive, and prioritize a consistent sleep routine.
2. Herbs: Ashwagandha and Shatavari are adaptogens that are often recommend to support sexual health, lower stress and enhance vitality. You can take them as powders or as part of a formula prescribed by a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner.
3. Daily Routine: Practicing yoga, meditation, or pranayama (breathing exercises) can greatly assist in balancing Vata and reducing stress which often contributes to premature ejaculation and erection issues.
You mentioned considering blood tests; it could be useful to check hormone levels including testosterone, to see if there’s an underlying physiological issue that needs addressing, like hormonal imbalance. Testing for cholesterol, blood sugar, and thyroid function is also helpful, as these can influence sexual health indirectly.
If these concerns continue to persist, consider seeking professional medical help to rule out any underlying health issues that might need immediate attention.
Based on the symptoms you’re describing, incorporating Ayurveda might help address your concerns from a holistic perspective. It’s possible that over-masturbation can lead to increased vata dosha imbalance, affecting vitality and energy reserves. To address premature ejaculation (PE) and difficulty sustaining erections, there are several approaches you could consider:
1. Dietary Adjustments: Fuel your body with warming and nourishing foods that pacify vata dosha. Include ghee, almonds, walnuts, and herbs like ashwagandha in your diet, which can support overall strength and stamina.
2. Herbal Remedies: Ashwagandha and Shatavari are renowned Ayurvedic herbs that can help support reproductive health by strengthening the sapta dhatus, particularly the shukra dhatu (reproductive tissue).
3. Lifestyle Changes: Aim to regulate daily routines. Consistent sleeping patterns and proper hydration may stabilize energy levels and contribute to better arousal and erection maintenance.
4. Mind-Body Practices: Engage in regular yoga and pranayama, optimizing breath control and energy flow through nadis. Practices like Vajroli mudra and meditation can help stabilize and channel sexual energy.
5. Sexual Practices: Instead of completely avoiding masturbation, see if moderating the frequency, focusing on mindfulness, can maintain balance. Excessive ejaculation can drain ojas (vital fluid) and exacerbate vata.
If the symptoms persist or worsen, consulting a healthcare provider for blood tests like testosterone levels may be beneficial. It would help rule out potential underlying conditions, such as hormonal imbalances or cardiovascular issues that could also contribute. A thorough assessment can guide you toward appropriate interventions. Prioritize health, safety and seek further evaluation if symptoms alarm.
