Lalas Multani Matti Powder - #33047

Charles

I am really struggling with my skin lately and I feel like I’ve tried everything. Recently, I kept hearing about Lalas Multani Matti Powder, like a LOT. My friend swears by it, she says it’s done wonders for her complexion, but I don’t know. I read online that it can help with oily skin and acne, but my combo skin is kinda confusing. Like, I have these breakouts the size of mountains on my chin and then my forehead is all shiny, it's driving me insane. I've used tomato masks, yogurt, and even neem, but nothing seems to work long-term. I thought, maybe I should give Lalas Multani Matti Powder a shot?? Has anyone tried it? Does it really help with acne and oily skin? I think I read somewhere that it's also good for brightening the skin - which, honestly, I could use a bit of. But also, like, how do I use it? Should I mix it with something or just water? My bestie said she does a face pack every week, but do I really need to do it that often? I guess I'm just desperate here and could use some direction on how to actually use this Lalas Multani Matti Powder effectively. Thanks in advance!

Lalas Multani Mitti, also known as Fuller’s Earth, is highly regarded in Ayurveda for its benefits on skin health, particularly for those with oily or acne-prone skin. It’s mineral-rich and can help absorb excess oils, giving your skin a more balanced feel, which can indeed be helpful with your combo skin type. For breakouts, it can help clear out the pores and reduce inflammation, a common cause of acne.

You might find it beneficial to create a face pack with the Multani Matti. Combine it with rosewater—this pairing has cooling and soothing properties, excellent for acne-prone skin, and helps maintain the skin’s natural pH balance. Use about one tablespoon of the powder with enough rosewater to form a thick paste. Apply it gently on your face, leaving it on for about 20 minutes before rinsing off. Using lukewarm water can help remove it easily.

Frequency-wise, once or twice a week should be sufficient to see improvements without disrupting your skin’s natural barrier, especially since your skin is a combination type. Overuse can lead to dryness on the less oily parts of your face, like the cheeks or jawline.

For brightening, adding a pinch of turmeric to the mixture can be effective, but ensure it’s just a pinch as turmeric can leave a slight stain if used in excess. Alternatively, you can replace rosewater with a bit of honey for added brightness and moisture if your skin feels too dry after initial treatments.

Regarding long-term solutions: while topical treatments like Multani Mitti can offer relief, addressing the root cause is essential. Eating a pitta-pacifying diet can help, like incorporating more cooling foods—cucumbers, melons, and avoiding too many spicy or fried foods. Ensure you’re drinking plenty of water daily to keep your skin hydrated from within, albeit not col. And as always, it’s best to consult with a healthcare practitioner or an Ayurvedic specialist if your skin concerns persist.

Lalas Multani Matti Powder, also known as Multani Mitti or Fuller’s Earth, is a widely used ayurvedic ingredient for skincare, especially for those dealing with oiliness or acne. Its absorbent properties make it excellent for balancing oily skin and clearing up breakouts, which aligns with its traditional use. For your combination skin type, it could offer a good balance, addressing excessive oil on the forehead and breakouts on the chin.

To use Lalas Multani Matti effectively, I’d suggest creating a face pack suitable for combination skin. Mix one tablespoon of the powder with enough rose water to form a smooth paste. Rose water is ideal as it’s gentle and helps tone the skin without drying it out. If you’re looking for added brightness, you could add a few drops of lemon juice, but be cautious if your skin is sensitive—lemon might irritate the skin. Apply this mixture to your face and leave it for about 15 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Using this mask once or twice a week should be enough. Doing it more frequently can dry out the skin, especially since combination skin requires a balance of moisture. In addition, make sure to follow up with a light hydrating moisturizer post-mask to maintain hydration and prevent any dryness.

While Multani Matti can help in managing acne and oiliness, if you’re not seeing improvements or experience worsened symptoms, it would be wise to seek professional advice. Sometimes underlying issues, like hormonal imbalances, could be the root of persistent skin problems and they require a more integrated approach. So, trying out this remedy, in conjunction with a tailored skincare routine, might just help find some relief for your skin troubles.
