AVP Asana Eladi Oil - #33197

Christopher

I am really confused about my skin lately. I’ve been dealing with this pesky eczema for months now, ugh! It's super itchy and just doesn’t wanna go away. I tried different creams from the pharmacy, but they kinda make it worse or maybe just don’t do anything at all. A friend suggested I try AVP Asana Eladi Oil, saying it helped her skin a lot. I looked into it and read that it’s great for treating skin ailments, but I dunno if it’s for me? The thing is, my skin gets super flaky and sometimes even cracks. I’m worried that if I use AVP Asana Eladi Oil, it might be too oily for my skin type or something. Like, what if it clogs my pores? I don't want to trade one issue for another, ya know? Also, should I use it every day? I’m just not sure how to incorporate it into my routine without making things worse. Anyone here ever had experience with AVP Asana Eladi Oil specifically for eczema? Would love to hear what you all think and any tips you could share! Hoping for some relief soon... =/

Doctors' responses

AVP Asana Eladi Oil can indeed be beneficial for skin ailments, including eczema. It’s formulated with a mixture of potent Ayurvedic ingredients meant to soothe inflammation and nourish the skin deeply. However, considering your skin’s tendency to be flaky and prone to cracks, you’ll need to apply it correctly to avoid any clogging or excessive oiliness.

First, conduct a small patch test on an unaffected area of your skin, maybe your inner forearm, for a couple of days to ensure you don’t have a sensitivity or allergy to the oil’s components. If all is good, you can incorporate it into your routine gradually. Use it sparingly; a small amount can go a long way. If you are concerned about it being too oily, apply Asana Eladi Oil only where your skin is extremely dry or affected by eczema. Gently massage into the skin, and do it preferably after a shower when your pores are open, and the skin is more receptive.

For frequency, start with applying it every other day, and observe how your skin is reacting. If there’s any improvement without adverse effects, you can then consider using it daily. Ensure you maintain a balanced diet, emphasizing cooling and hydrating foods. Avoiding excessively hot or spicy foods can help prevent exacerbation of eczema symptoms as per Ayurveda’s understanding of pitta dosha aggravations.

It’s crucial to remember that while topical solutions can offer relief, underlying imbalances contributing to your eczema symptoms might need examination. In Ayurveda, eczema can be a result of an imbalance in Vata and Pitta doshas, along with potentially impaired Agni (digestive fire). Given the chronic nature of your condition, consulting in-person with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner would be beneficial for a more comprehensive treatment plan. Keep an eye on severe symptoms like extensive cracking or infection, which would warrant immediate medical attention.

Ultimately, integrating holistic approaches along with specific topical treatments like AVP Asana Eladi Oil can bring more sustainable relief. Adjusting every aspect of your lifestyle and addressing any contributory factors will also be crucial, ensuring you approach the issue from all angles.

AVP Asana Eladi Oil can certainly be effective for managing skin conditions like eczema due to its calming and moisturizing properties. It’s rooted in Ayurvedic principles designed to balance the doshas, particularly targeting vata-related skin issues which can cause dryness and flakiness. With your symptoms like skin flaking and cracking, using an oil that helps to maintain moisture might indeed be beneficial.

For eczema, Asana Eladi Oil should help soothe the skin and reduce itchiness, aiding the healing by revitalizing tissue (sapta dhatus) and enhancing skin’s resilience. Before you begin, perform a patch test—apply a small amount on an area like the inside of your elbow and wait 24 hours to check for any adverse reaction. If you experience no irritation, you can gently massage a small amount of the oil on affected areas.

Begin using the oil once a day, preferably in the evening or post-shower when your skin is most absorbent. If you find that it suits your skin without clogging pores or causing discomfort, consider using it both morning and evening. Remember, it’s crucial that your skin feels relieved and soothed after application, not more irritated.

For additional care, maintaining a balanced diet that pacifies vata dosha can be supportive—focus on hydrating foods, and avoid overly drying, rough, or cold meals. Drink warm liquids and include ghee in your diet for added nourishment. Ensure that you consult an Ayurvedic practitioner or a dermatologist if your symptoms persist or worsen. Eczema can sometimes need a tailored approach depending on individual prakriti and underlying causes.
