Premature greying and dandruff with accompanying heat boils suggest an imbalance often involving an excess of pitta dosha. Dandruff, in Ayurveda, is seen as an aggravation of Kapha and Vata with possible pitta involvement in your case. It’s important to address both internal and external factors here.
First, for the internal aspect, reducing pitta is key. Incorporate foods that are cooling and pitta-pacifying; favor sweet, bitter, and astringent tastes. Consume fresh, whole foods like cucumbers, melons, and leafy greens. Avoid spicy, fermented, and excessively oily foods.
Externally, apply a herbal hair oil such as Bringaraj or Amla oil thrice a week. Warm it slightly and massage your scalp gently, focusing on areas with boils and dandruff. Leave for at least an hour or overnight if possible before washing. These oils help nourish the scalp and slow greying. Moreover, Amla (Indian gooseberry) is excellent for both hair health and reducing pitta; try taking it internally as a powder or juice.
For washing, use shikakai powder or a mild herbal shampoo rather than harsh chemicals that can aggravate your scalp. Incorporate Neem water into the rinse to address dandruff and boils due to its antibacterial properties.
Meditation and breath control practices are recommended to reduce stress, influencing hair health significantly. Daily practices of deep breathing can help balance internal heat and overall stress levels.
If boils persist, they might require specific attention or indicate a deeper imbalance, in which case consulting a healthcare provider for a personalized assessment would be wise. Avoid scratching boils or dandruff, as this can increase inflammation and discomfort.
