Nightfall, which is commonly referred to as nocturnal emissions or swapnadosha in Ayurveda, often connects with imbalances in the vajikaran branch of Ayurvedic medicine, pointing to issues related to reproductive health and vitality. According to Ayurveda, this could be due to an aggravated Vata dosha affecting the Mamsa Dhatu (muscle tissues) and Shukra Dhatu (reproductive tissues).

A natural way to tackle this is by adopting certain Ayurvedic herbs and lifestyle modifications. Ashwagandha and Shatavari are prominent herbs recommended for their rejuvenating properties for reproductive tissues. A typical dose can be about 1-2 teaspoons mixed with warm milk taken at night. But ensure you consult a qualified practitioner before starting any herbal remedy because individual needs may vary.

Diet-wise, focus on nourishing, sattvik foods. Foods that are heavy and cooling like milk, ghee, almonds, and dates can help in calming Vata and strengthening Shukra Dhatu. It’s also wise to avoid spicy, sour, and overly salty foods as they can imbalance Pitta, possibly worsening the condition.

Regular yoga and pranayama can assist in restoring balance. Asanas like Padmasana or Vajrasana after meals can improve digestion and metabolic fire, while pranayama helps in stress reduction, promoting sound sleep.

Avoid pornography or any forms of sexually stimulating media, as over-indulgence might weaken your mental and physical energy reserves. Practicing Brahmacharya or celibacy in thoughts and actions is emphasized in Ayurveda for vitality preservation.

Lastly, ensure you have enough sleep, as erratic sleeping patterns can aggravate Vata. Try going to bed early, around 10 PM, and establishing a regular sleep schedule. Consider incorporating a gentle abdominal massage with warm sesame oil before bed as it may provide additional benefits by soothing the nervous system and promoting relaxation.
