Hello Glad you reached out. Let’s talk about what you’re dealing with - at 60, it’s pretty common to see low Vitamin B12 and D, low HDL, high LDL, and that nagging exhaustion that just doesn’t lift. These aren’t random. They’re all connected, and honestly, they’re your body’s way of saying it’s not getting what it needs at a deeper, cellular level.

YOUR CONCERN

Your symptoms fall under a few main buckets: - Rasa–Rakta Dhatu Kshaya: low vitamins, low energy - Agnimandya: weak digestion and poor absorption - Medo Dhatu Dushti: cholesterol imbalance - Ojas Kshaya: constant drowsiness, mental fog - Vata predominance: after 60, this is just a fact of life

If you want the modern diagnosis, it’s things like malabsorption, mitochondrial fatigue, messed-up cholesterol, and early signs of wear and tear.

What do we do about it? Simple: Fix your absorption, feed your tissues, balance your cholesterol, and bring your energy back.

INTERNAL MEDICATION

- Draksharishta: 20 ml with 20 ml water, twice a day after meals. This really lifts fatigue and helps digestion.

- Ashwagandha Lehya or Capsule 1 tsp (or 1 capsule) at night with warm milk. Think of it as your nerve and stamina booster.

- Arjunarishta: 20 ml twice daily. It helps your HDL, protects your heart, and keeps cholesterol in check.

- Triphala Guggulu: 2 tablets twice daily after food. Great for cholesterol and supports your liver and bowels.

- Chyawanprash (low sugar): 1 tsp every morning. boosts immunity and helps you absorb those vitamins better.

About those vitamin deficiencies

From an Ayurvedic view, it’s not really about what you eat, but what you absorb. Weak digestion (Agnimandya) is the real culprit. So yes, keep taking your B12 and D supplements — Ayurveda works alongside them, not against them. But you’ll also need to: - Improve digestion - Support your liver - Stick to a regular daily routine

Diet (this is huge for you)

Skip: - Fried stuff - Bakery foods - Sugar overload - Cold drinks - Processed foods

All of these mess with cholesterol and drag your energy down.

Eat more: - Ghee (about a teaspoon a day) - Warm milk - Soaked almonds (five a day) - Moong dal - Steamed veggies - Fruits like papaya and pomegranate

Lifestyle tips

- Get out in the morning sun for 15 minutes — your best Vitamin D source - Keep up the brisk walks — you’re already on the right track - Aim for sleep before 11 p.m. - Try a daily oil massage (Abhyanga) on your legs and feet - Don’t nap too long during the day

Why are you so drowsy all the time? Your cells just aren’t making enough energy. This isn’t about being lazy or just getting older — your tissues are literally starved.

About your blood pressure medicine (Telma 40): It’s fine with these remedies. In fact, Arjuna and Ashwagandha often help stabilize BP naturally.

At 60, your body doesn’t need more coffee or protein shakes. It needs real nourishment. Warm food, ghee, Rasayana, and a regular routine these are what rebuild your core energy. This isn’t just about fixing symptoms. This is how you age well and feel alive.

Take care, Dr. Snehal Vidhate

DIET SHOULD BE LIGHT BUT NOURISHING INCLUDE WARM COOKED FOODS USE GHEE DAILY IN SMALL QUANTITY INCLUDE MILK IF DIGESTED WELL SOAKED ALMONDS AND WALNUTS AVOID COLD FOOD BAKERY ITEMS FRIED FOOD AND DRY PACKAGED SNACKS AVOID DAYTIME SLEEP AND LATE NIGHTS CONTINUE DAILY WALKING BUT AVOID OVER EXERTION OIL MASSAGE WITH SESAME OIL TWICE WEEKLY WILL HELP REDUCE VATA AND IMPROVE ENERGY

HELLO,

You are 60 years old an age when the body naturally becomes drier, weaker, and slower. According to Ayurveda, this stage of life is Vata-dominant

Your Main Problems

a) Vitamin B12 & Vitamin Deficiency -In Ayurveda, this is not just “lack of vitamin” -It means: -Poor digestion -Poor absorption -Weak blood and nerve nourishment

This causes: -Tiredness -Sleepiness -Poor concentration -Body weakness

b) Low HDL & High LDL (Cholesterol Problem) -Ayurveda calls this Medo Dhatu Dushti It happens when: -Fat metabolism is disturbed -Digestion fire is weak -Fat gets deposited in wrong places (blood vessels) -Low HDL = poor protective fat -High LDL = harmful fat accumulation

c) Drowsiness & Exhaustion for >6 Months This indicates: -Ojas Kshaya (loss of body vitality) -Accumulated toxins -Slow circulation and metabolism

d) BP on Telma 40 mg -Indicates heart and vessel sensitivity -Needs gentle, heart-protective approach -No aggressive medicines or detox

Treatment Goals -Improve digestion & absorption (root cause) -Nourish blood, nerves & tissues -Correct fat metabolism -Improve energy & alertness -Protect heart & BP -Prevent further degeneration due to age

INTERNAL MEDICATIONS
