-Natural ways to calm eye pain & heat 1. Follow the 20–20–20 rule (very important) Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. This relaxes eye muscles and reduces heat buildup. Set a phone reminder if needed. 2. Cold compress (best for heat feeling) Soak a clean cloth in cold water Gently place it over closed eyes for 5–10 minutes Do this 2–3 times a day 👉 Avoid ice directly on the skin. 3. Blink more (consciously) When using screens, we blink 50% less, which causes dryness and burning. Try this: Close eyes → squeeze gently → open wide Repeat 10 times, 3–4 times/day 4. Palming (yogic eye relaxation) Rub your palms until warm Gently cup them over closed eyes (no pressure) Sit quietly for 1–2 minutes This helps reduce strain and gives a calming effect. 5. Reduce screen heat exposure Lower screen brightness Use night mode / blue light filter Keep screen below eye level Sit at least 50–60 cm (arm’s length) away 6. Hydration matters Dry eyes = burning eyes. Drink 2.5–3 liters of water daily Include foods rich in: Omega-3 (flaxseeds, walnuts) Vitamin A (carrots, spinach) Vitamin E (almonds) 7. Warm compress (if stiffness or ache) If pain feels more like deep ache or tiredness, alternate with warm compress: Warm (not hot) cloth 5 minutes, once daily 🚫 Avoid these (very important) Rubbing your eyes Staring at screens for long stretches Using unknown eye drops without prescription Staying in AC rooms too long without breaks - since it’s 6 months with these natural ways consult opthalmologist also for eye checkup
