To address jaundice with elevated bilirubin levels and liver enzyme abnormalities, Ayurveda recommends a comprehensive approach that includes dietary modifications, lifestyle changes, and specific herbal formulations that support liver health and detoxification. In this context, focus on a light, easily digestible diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly hydrating options like cucumbers, watermelon, and papaya. Avoid heavy, spicy, and fatty foods, as well as alcohol, which can aggravate liver conditions. For herbal formulations, consider Liver Care (a formulation containing Kalmegh, Bhumyamalaki, and Picrorhiza) to help detoxify and rejuvenate the liver. Another effective formulation is Chyawanprash, which contains Amla and various herbs that support overall health and boost immunity. You may also try Triphala, which promotes healthy digestion and detoxification, aiding in the reduction of bilirubin levels. Additionally, Kanchanar Guggulu can support liver function and promote the elimination of toxins from the body. Incorporate Ginger and Turmeric in your diet, which can be beneficial in a formulation like Ginger-Turmeric Tea to improve digestion and reduce inflammation. For a holistic approach, ensure you stay well-hydrated, rest adequately, and engage in gentle exercises such as walking to support liver health.

Hello Naman, In managing jaundice with elevated bilirubin levels and increased SGPT and SGOT, an Ayurvedic approach focuses on detoxification and liver support. Begin with a light, easily digestible diet consisting of khichdi (a mix of rice and lentils) and plenty of warm soups to reduce the burden on the liver. Incorporate Turmeric in your meals, as it has anti-inflammatory and hepatoprotective properties. Bhumyamalaki (Phyllanthus niruri) is highly effective for liver health and can be taken as a juice or in capsule form. Drink plenty of warm water to aid detoxification, and include coconut water for hydration and nourishment. Avoid oily, spicy, and heavy foods, as well as alcohol, which can further stress the liver. Rest is essential for recovery, so prioritize sleep and avoid strenuous activities. It is crucial to consult with a healthcare professional to monitor your liver function and receive tailored treatment, ensuring that any herbal remedies are appropriate for your condition.
