Doctors’ responses

Based on your symptoms of burning sensation in the upper right quadrant radiating to the lower back, along with the findings of hiatus hernia, epigastritis, and inflammation around the pyloric region, it is likely that there is a significant imbalance in the Pitta dosha, which can lead to excessive heat and inflammation in the digestive tract. I recommend the following Ayurvedic medications: Avipattikar Churna, which helps in pacifying Pitta and relieving digestive discomfort; Mahashankh Vati, which aids in reducing acidity and inflammation; and Kutaj Ghan Vati to address any issues related to hemorrhoids and improve bowel health. Additionally, liquorice Tea (with honey) can provide relief from burning, nausea and promote digestion. It is also essential to incorporate a Pitta-pacifying diet, avoiding spicy, fried, and acidic foods completely , while focusing on cooling foods such as fresh fruits, leafy greens, and whole grains. Regular stress management techniques such as yoga and meditation will further support your digestive health. Please ensure regular follow-up with your healthcare provider to monitor your condition.

Alright, I get it. You’re dealing with quite a bit there. I hope your medical checks provided some clarity. From an Ayurvedic perspective, the symptoms you are describing could be connected to an imbalance in your pitta dosha, commonly the fire element, which can express itself through inflammation and burning sensations. First off, when dealing with issues like this, maintaining a calm agni (digestive fire) is crucial. Start by avoiding spicy, greasy, and acidic foods that can aggravate pitta even more. Think of it kind of like a fire - if you add more fuel, it just gets hotter, right? So, go for cooling and soothing foods. Cucumber, coconut water, and coriander are great options. It might be helpful to incorporate a drink made from coriander seeds. Just soak a tablespoon of coriander seeds in a glass of water overnight, and drink it first thing in the morning. Helps cool down that internal fire, so to speak. Stress may play a role here too. Sometimes stress just racks up the pressure, right? Consider practices like yoga or meditation - they naturally calm down the mind and body. Even a simple breathing exercise like nadi shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) can have a calming effect, taking just a few minutes a day. Keep ahold of your fiber too. Those grade 2 hemorrhoids could benefit from it. Whole grains, fruits, and cooked vegetables can improve the condition by adding bulk to your stool. And really important - listen to your body. If symptoms worsen, make sure to reach out to a healthcare professional immediately. Ayurveda is great, but it's always best to take a balanced approach with modern healthcare when we're dealing with significant discomfort. Don't hesitate to ask more. Stay on top of it, patience is key in any healing process!
