Now, Potli massage works on the principle of transferring heat and medicinal effects from the herbs into the body, which can help with reducing muscle stiffness and inflammation. Often used in cases like arthritis or back pain, where warmth helps soothe the pain. It can temporarily reduce pain and increase mobility, and with repeated sessions, you may notice more sustained relief. Yet, everybody’s different, so some people might respond better than others.

In terms of how effective it is for chronic conditions… well, it’s a bit of hit or miss. Some find it really beneficial especially when combined with diet changes and other Ayurvedic treatments aimed at balancing doshas (vata-pitta-kapha). Chronic conditions like arthritis might need regular sessions for the effects to build up. It’s about consistency.
