Hello I completely understand your concern, when acne suddenly appears and refuses to heal despite trying many remedies, it can feel frustrating and emotionally draining. But dont worry we are here to help you out😊
🌿 AYURVEDIC TREATMENT PROTOCOL
1️⃣ SHODHANA (Internal Cleansing – to be done under supervision)
If acne is chronic or severe, mild purification therapies help clear internal toxins before starting long-term herbal medicines.
Triphala Churna – 1 tsp with warm water at bedtime daily to keep bowels clear and remove metabolic waste.
Virechana Karma (purgation therapy) – Once the active inflammation subsides, supervised internal cleansing helps pacify excess Pitta and detoxify Rakta dhatu.( to be done in panchakarma center)
2️⃣ SHAMANA CHIKITSA (Pacification Therapy)
✅INTERNAL MEDICATION
1. Sarivadyasava – 20 ml twice daily after meals with equal water – cleanses blood and cools Pitta.
2. Manjishthadi Kashaya – 20 ml twice daily after food – acts as a natural detoxifier and enhances skin tone.
3. Gandhak Rasayan – 1 tab twice daily after food – purifies skin from inside and prevents recurrent acne.
4. Aloe Vera Juice – 15 ml on empty stomach every morning – reduces inflammation and aids gut-skin balance.
5. Kaishore Guggulu – 1 tab twice daily after meals – for deep tissue detox and to prevent pus formation.
✅ EXTERNAL APPLICATION
Wash face twice daily with neem–tulsi–aloe based herbal face wash. Avoid foaming or alcohol-based cleansers.
Prepare Lodhra + Manjishtha + Chandan paste (equal parts mixed with rose water). Apply on acne-prone areas for 15 minutes daily; wash with lukewarm water.
For oozing acne: apply paste of neem leaf + turmeric + multani mitti twice weekly.
Once active acne subsides, start using Kumkumadi Taila (2–3 drops) at night for scars and glow.
✅DIET MODIFICATION
✅Include
Warm, freshly cooked meals.
Moong dal, red rice, bottle gourd, ridge gourd, pumpkin, leafy greens.
Fruits: pomegranate, apple, papaya, pear.
Spices: turmeric, coriander, cumin, fennel, ajwain.
Hydration: 8–10 glasses of lukewarm water daily, or coriander seed infused water for cooling effect.
❌Avoid:
Deep-fried, spicy, sour, or oily foods. Curd, cheese, paneer, and ice-cold drinks. Refined sugar, chocolates, and bakery foods. Excess tea, coffee, and late-night meals.
✅Lifestyle & Daily Routine
Wash face only twice daily — over-washing can worsen Pitta. Avoid touching, picking, or squeezing acne. Sleep by 10 PM; night rest supports skin healing and hormonal balance. Manage stress through Anulom Vilom Pranayama, Bhramari, or gentle evening meditation. Weekly mild face steam (for 2–3 mins) followed by multani mitti + rose water mask clears clogged pores. Avoid exposure to excess heat, sunlight, and pollution.
✅ RASAYANA (Rejuvenation Phase – after 6–8 weeks)
Once acne subsides and comedones clear, the skin needs nourishment and rejuvenation.
Shatavari + Yashtimadhu + Amla powder (1 tsp daily in warm milk) helps restore inner glow and hormonal balance.
Chyawanprash (sugar-free variant) – 1 tsp daily morning to strengthen immunity and skin vitality.
With consistent Ayurvedic management and internal cleansing, you can expect ✅ Reduction in active acne within 4–6 weeks. ✅ Skin texture improvement and reduced oiliness by 8–10 weeks.
Remember — avoid mixing too many topical products again. Ayurveda heals by harmonizing the body, not by over-treating the skin surface.

Addressing the issue of severe acne and comedones due to product overuse requires an understanding of your skin’s balance and dosha constitution. Acne often indicates an imbalance, particularly with the Pitta dosha, while clogged pores can suggest Kapha involvement. Here’s a structured approach:
First, eliminate the cause: Cease the use of excessive, non-essential skincare products. Your skin needs to reset and restore its natural balance. Keep a minimalist approach to skincare—start with a gentle Ayurvedic cleanser like besan (gram flour), which cleans without irritating your skin. It’s less harsh than commercial alternatives.
Herbal fomulas might help. Consider a topical paste of turmeric and sandalwood powder; these herbs are known for their Pitta- and Kapha-pacifying properties. Mix them with rose water to form a paste and apply a thin layer to the affected areas for 15-20 minutes then rinse off gently with lukewarm water. Repeat daily.
Diet plays a huge role – reduce Pitta-aggravating foods such as spicy, fried, and overly processed items from your diet. Opt for cooling foods like cucumber, melons, and greens. Ensure proper hydration, but sip warm water throughout the day rather than gulping large amounts at a time, which can disturb your agni.
Avoid stress and promote routines that enhance a balanced lifestyle. Practice meditation or yoga to support mental clarity and tranquility, as stress can exacerbate skin issues. Incorporating pranayama (breathing exercises) can greatly regulate the fire element.
Internally, triphala can be beneficial – it supports detoxification and balances doshas. Taking one teaspoon of triphala powder in warm water before bed may promote regular bowel movement and purify your system.
If there’s no improvement within a few weeks, consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for a tailored examination – they may recommend Panchakarma therapies or other treatments based on your prakriti. Always exercise caution when self-prescribing, and if the condition persists or worsens, seek a professional opinion.
