Hello Thank you for reaching out with your concern. I completely understand how dryness and fine wrinkles over hands and feet can make the skin look aged and dull, especially when living in a polluted environment. But dont worry we are here to help you out😊

✅ AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT

✅INTERNAL MEDICATION

1. Sukumar Ghrita – 1 tsp with warm milk every morning (rejuvenates skin, prevents dryness).

2. Sarivasavam – 20 ml with equal water twice daily (purifies blood and enhances glow).

3. Amla Juice – 1 tsp daily (rich in Vitamin C, strengthens collagen).

4. Ashwagandha Churna – 1 tsp at night with warm milk (reduces stress-induced dryness, nourishes tissues).

These medicines pacify Vata and Pitta, enhance skin tone, and promote youthful softness.

✅EXTERNAL CARE

👉 Daily Oil Massage (Abhyanga)

Before bath, massage your hands and feet with this Ayurvedic oil blend Sesame oil – 3 tbsp (base oil, warming and nourishing) Coconut oil – 1 tbsp (soothing and cooling for Pitta) Castor oil – 1 tsp (deeply moisturizing)

Add 2–3 drops of Vitamin E or a few crushed rose petals (optional) Warm slightly and massage for 10–15 minutes, then bathe with lukewarm water.

Do this at least 4–5 times per week.

✅HOME REMEDIES

You can easily prepare natural nourishing creams and packs at home: 👉 Wrinkle-Reducing Hand & Foot Cream

Mix: 1 tbsp Aloe vera gel (fresh) 1 tbsp Coconut oil or Cow’s ghee ½ tsp Manjistha powder Few drops of Rose water Store in a clean jar. Apply daily at bedtime. ( Deeply hydrates and improves elasticity.)

👉 Herbal Hand & Foot Ubtan (Scrub-Pack)

Mix equal parts of: Sandalwood powder (Chandana) Masoor dal powder (red lentil) Turmeric (Haldi) Add milk or rose water to make a paste. Apply on hands and feet twice a week, leave for 15 minutes, and wash gently with lukewarm water. ( Removes dead skin, brightens tone, and softens texture.)

✅ DIET MODIFICATION

✅ Include:

Warm, moist, freshly cooked food Ghee, sesame seeds, soaked almonds, figs, raisins Amalaki (Indian gooseberry), beetroot, and carrot juice for skin nourishment Drink 2.5–3 L of warm water/herbal teas daily (avoid cold water)

❌ Avoid:

Excess coffee, spicy, salty, or fried foods (aggravate Pitta and dry the skin) Fasting or skipping meals Excess exposure to cold wind and polluted air

✅LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION

Apply ghee or oil to palms and soles before sleeping (Padabhyanga). Use cotton gloves or socks at night after oiling to lock in moisture. Avoid chemical soaps; use green gram (moong dal) flour as a gentle cleanser. Practice deep breathing (Anulom Vilom) and gentle yoga for stress relief, which keeps skin youthful and glowing.

With regular care, you will notice - Visible reduction in fine wrinkles within 3–4 weeks

Remember, skin beauty in Ayurveda is a reflection of internal harmony — nurturing both your body and mind will restore your natural glow.

Wishing you a good health😊

Warm Regards, Dr. Snehal Vidhate

Addressing wrinkles and dryness on hands and feet, especially in a polluted environment, involves balancing Pitta and Kapha doshas while nurturing the skin. Begin by making an nourishing oil blend at home. You can mix equal parts of coconut oil and sesame oil, which are calming for Pitta and moisturizing for Kapha. Add a few drops of rose oil or sandalwood oil, they have cooling properties and beneficial for Pitta dosha. Massage this oil into your hands and feet twice daily, mornings and evenings, to help reduce dryness and wrinkles.

To make an ayurvedic exfoliating scrub, for your hands and feet, you can prepare a simple paste with gram flour (besan) and turmeric powder. Mix these with some water or milk to form a paste. Gently scrub the affected area before rinsing off with warm water. This can remove dead skin cells and impurities, while balancing your doshas, enhance the skin’s softness.

Another effective remedy is using a pack made from multani mitti (fuller’s earth) mixed with rosewater. This creates a cooling effect, excellent for pitta balancing. Apply this paste on your hands and feet for around 15-20 minutes, then wash it off. The clay draws out impurities and rosewater tones and hydrates your skin.

Your diet affects skin health too. To balance Pitta and Kapha, include more bitter and astringent tastes like leafy greens and pomegranate. Avoid too much spicy, oily, and fried foods. Herbal teas made from coriander seeds or fennel seeds can also help in maintaining the skin’s hydration.

Lastly, staying hydrated by drinking adequate amounts of water and using an indoor air purifier can helps mitigate the effects of pollution on your skin. Practicing yoga and pranayama daily will aid in overall balance, promoting healthy skin regeneration. Remember, regular, consistent routines are key in ayurvedic remedies — they work holistically and gradually.

Addressing wrinkles and dryness involve understanding your body’s pitha and kapha doshas and the impact of environmental factors. Your location in a polluted area can create skin issues due to toxins and might aggravate your concerns. This pollution can increase pitta, leading to inflammation and drying out your skin. Let’s focus on pacifying these doshas and offering moisture.

Begin with a simple, homemade Ayurvedic oil suitable for both pitha and kapha types: Mix equal parts of coconut oil and sesame oil, which are both cooling and nourishing. Add a few drops of sandalwood essential oil to reduce any pitta-related inflammation. Warm this mixture slightly before using it. Massage gently onto your hands and feet every night before sleep to reduce dryness and improve skin’s elasticity.

Additionally, you can make a mask using ground almond flour, raw honey, and rose water. This combination helps exfoliate gently and hydrates, soothing both pitha and kapha imbalances. Apply the mask once or twice a week, leaving it on for about 15 minutes, and rinse off with lukewarm water.

Internally, keep your agni (digestive fire) balanced with a cup of warm ginger tea daily to help with toxins elimination. Include ghee in your diet, as it can support deep tissue (sapta dhatu) nourishment which could reflect positively on your skin health.

These practices alongside your overall lifestyle modifications can elevate your skin’s appearance while maintaining balance within your body. However, if you notice any signs of severe irritation or if the condition worsens, it may be prudent to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized care.
