In Ayurveda, managing Type 1 diabetes with high HbA1c and kidney dysfunction focuses on balancing blood sugar levels, supporting kidney function, and improving overall vitality. For blood sugar management, herbs like Gudmar, Karela (bitter melon), and Jamun are known to support insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism. For kidney health, herbs such as Punarnava, Gokshura, and Shatavari can help reduce excess urea and creatinine levels, and support renal function. A diet rich in low glycemic index foods, including whole grains, vegetables, and herbal teas, can help stabilize blood sugar. Additionally, practices like gentle yoga, Pranayama, and regular detoxification therapies such as Panchakarma can improve circulation and support organ function. However, it’s essential to work closely with an Ayurvedic practitioner and monitor progress, especially considering the complex nature of Type 1 diabetes and kidney dysfunction.
