Namaste Mohapatra Ji, Tinnitus or “Karnanada” in Ayurveda is often linked to Vata imbalance. Specifically, when Vata dosha gets aggravated in the head or ear region, it can cause the perception of hissing or buzzing sounds. Since your MRI and ENT examinations are normal, balancing Vata and improving ear and head circulation may help. Here is a holistic Ayurvedic approach: Ayurvedic Treatment Recommendations: Nasya (Nasal Drops): Anu Taila Nasya (2 drops in each nostril daily in the morning) can help clear blockages and balance Vata. Vata-Calming Herbs: Brahmi Ghrita: Consume 1 tsp daily with warm milk in the morning to calm the nervous system. Ashwagandha: Take 1 capsule or 1 tsp with warm water before bed to reduce stress and balance Vata. Shirodhara: Regular Shirodhara (oil poured gently on the forehead) is effective for calming the mind and relieving ear-related issues. Local Ear Oil Application: Use Bilva Taila or Karna Purana (medicated ear oils) for ear drops. Warm the oil slightly and apply 2 drops in the affected ear daily. Dietary Adjustments: Favor warm, moist, and lightly spiced foods to calm Vata. Avoid cold, dry, and overly processed foods. Pranayama & Meditation: Daily practice of Bhramari Pranayama (humming bee breath) can reduce the perception of ringing and calm the mind. Lifestyle: Ensure 7-8 hours of quality sleep. Avoid exposure to loud noises and mental stress. Is It Curable? Tinnitus management takes time and patience, but with consistent Ayurvedic treatments, many patients experience relief. Since your ENT reports are clear, this suggests it is more functional than structural, which is favorable for Ayurvedic management. Consult a local Ayurveda Vaidya for personalized guidance on these remedies. Wishing you a swift recovery. Om Shanti.

So, tinnitus, huh? Annoying as heck, I bet, especially when it's been going on for so long. From an Ayurvedic viewpoint, tinnitus can often be related to an imbalance in Vata dosha—think of Vata as the air element and when it gets disturbed, things get out of whack. With this continuous noise, it sure seems like the Eustachian tube dysfunction might have stirred up some Vata. First up, trying a slightly different approach might help. Nasya, the practice of administering herbal oils through the nostrils, could be beneficial. An herbal oil like Anu taila can help. You warm a few drops of the oil (maybe 2-3, but careful not to make it too hot!) and then gently put them into each nostril while lying down with your head tilted back. Doing this daily, especially in morning, may help balance the Vata in the head region. Perhaps you could tweak your diet a bit too, focusing on Vata-pacifying foods. Warm, cooked meals like soups and simple grains, seasoned with warming spices like ginger and cumin, might bring some balance. Drinking warm fluids (tea with a little ginger, maybe?) can also be soothing. Daily self-massage with sesame or almond oil is another way to ground Vata. You just massage the oil into your skin before showering, let it sit for a few, and then wash it off. Plus, if you're up for it, some light yoga or stretching might help, especially poses that focus on calming the nervous system, like forward bends. Is it curable? Well, every case is different, but addressing the root cause—the imbalance of Vata—in a holistic manner, could definitely improve things. Remember, consistency is key. But hey, if the ringing gets worse or you experience other symptoms, don't hesitate to go see a doc again. It’s important to keep monitoring just in case things shift. Stay safe and hopefully you'll find some relief soon!
