I have recently started exercising more, and I have noticed that my quadriceps muscles tend to get sore and tight very easily. Sometimes after an intense workout or long day of walking, I feel a deep, aching pain in my thighs that takes days to go away. I started researching the quadriceps muscles, and I learned that they are the large muscles at the front of the thighs responsible for walking, running, and squatting. But what I do not understand is why some people develop tight or weak quadriceps muscles more easily than others. Could it be due to poor stretching, lack of certain nutrients, or muscle imbalances? Since I prefer natural healing methods, I want to know if Ayurveda has treatments to strengthen and heal the quadriceps muscles. Are there specific oils for massage, herbal supplements, or dietary changes that help with muscle recovery and flexibility? I have heard that Ashwagandha and Mahanarayan oil are good for muscle health—do they actually help? That’s where our classical tools come in—Ksharasutra therapy, Agnikarma, and a few other para-surgical techniques we follow from the Samhitas...they’ve been lifesavers honestly. My work here pushes me to keep refining surgical precision while also sticking to the Ayurvedic core. I do rely on modern diagnostics when needed, but I won’t replace the value of a well-done Nadi Pariksha or assessing dosha-vikruti in depth. Most of my patients come with pain, fear, and usually after a couple of rounds of either incomplete surgeries or just being fed painkillers n antibiotics. And I totally get that frustration.
