calcium injection - #17465
Last month, my mother was feeling extremely weak, and she started getting muscle cramps frequently. Her legs would hurt even after just walking a little, and she even mentioned that her bones felt sore. We got her blood tests done, and the doctor said her calcium levels were very low. He prescribed supplements, but after a few weeks, she still felt tired and weak. So, they gave her a calcium injection to boost her levels quickly. After getting the calcium injection, she felt better for a few days, but now she’s complaining of body stiffness, especially in her arms and back. She also said her digestion feels off, like she’s feeling bloated and heavy all the time. We are now wondering if there are any side effects of taking a calcium injection too frequently. The doctor suggested another one in a few weeks, but we are not sure if that’s the right solution. I’ve heard that Ayurveda has natural ways to improve calcium absorption. Instead of relying on a calcium injection, are there herbs or foods that can help increase calcium levels naturally? She drinks milk regularly, but it doesn’t seem to be enough. Also, does Ayurveda look at calcium deficiency differently? Could this be a sign of some deeper imbalance in her body rather than just low calcium? Another thing we’re worried about is how to prevent this in the future. If she needs a calcium injection now, does that mean her bones are already getting weak? Are there Ayurvedic remedies to strengthen bones and prevent osteoporosis? If anyone has dealt with calcium deficiency naturally through Ayurveda, please share your experience. We don’t want her to keep relying on calcium injection if there is a better, long-term solution.
