Itching and red spots on your breasts after starting a supplement like shatavari can be concerning, and it’s important to address these symptoms. Shatavari, an Ayurvedic herb, is often used for its potential to balance hormones and support the female reproductive system, including aspects like lactation and reproductive health. However, like any supplement, it can have side effects or cause reactions in some individuals.

Red spots and itching might indicate an allergic reaction or an irritation caused by the supplement. While shatavari is generally safe for many, each person’s body reacts differently. It’s vital to discontinue use immediately and avoid applying any topical substances to the affected area that could further irritate the skin.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, your symptoms might have resulted due to an imbalance in your doshas, particularly Pitta, which governs heat and inflammation. It is advisable to cool down any excess Pitta by consuming cooling foods such as cucumbers, watermelon, and coconut water. Avoid spicy, oily, and heavy foods which can exacerbate the condition further. However, considering the symptoms are on the skin and breast specifically, and when taking new supplements, please consult with your healthcare provider promptly for a professional evaluation.

For now, maintain proper breast hygiene, wear loose-fitting, breathable clothing to reduce irritation, and apply a chamomile tea compress which might feel soothing. It is essential to identify the cause behind these symptoms with professional medical advice. Consider lifestyle factors and any other potential allergens in your routine too. If symptoms persist or worsen, seek an immediate consultation from a healthcare professional to rule out any serious underlying issues.

Experiencing itching and red spots on the breasts after starting shatavari tablets is not typical and could indicate a reaction. Shatavari is generally considered safe, but it’s possible that it might not be suitable for everyone due to individual body constitution or a specific allergy to one of its compounds.

First, you should stop taking the shatavari tablets to see if the symptoms subside. Ensuring that the irritation stops is crucial to prevent further complications. Make sure to gently cleanse the affected area with mild soap and water, and keep it dry to avoid further irritation.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, your symptoms might suggest an imbalance related to Pitta and perhaps some disturbance in the body’s natural harmony. This could lead to skin reactions like rashes or itching. Consider supporting your body’s balance by drinking adequate water, consuming light and cooling foods like cucumber and coconut, and avoiding spicy, oily, or overly processed foods that aggravate Pitta.

Monitor your condition closely. If the itching and spots persist or worsen, consult a healthcare professional for an evaluation. It could be necessary to rule out other causes unrelated to shatavari, and ensure there’s no underlying condition that requires different treatment.

Finally, remember it’s important to address concerns with body image and seek advice from practitioners who can provide guidance suitable to your unique body type and concerns. If you’re considering herbs or supplements for breast size or any other reason, consulting a trained practitioner who can give personalized advice based on a detailed understanding of your Prakriti is wise.
