Sucralfate - #17960
For the past few weeks, I’ve been experiencing stomach pain, acid reflux, and discomfort after eating. My doctor diagnosed me with gastritis and acid-related irritation and prescribed Sucralfate, saying it would coat my stomach lining and protect it from further damage. I started taking it as advised, and while it helped ease the pain, I don’t want to rely on medications long-term. Doctor, I want to understand if there are Ayurvedic alternatives to Sucralfate that can heal the stomach lining and prevent acid reflux naturally. Does Ayurveda have herbal remedies or dietary recommendations that can soothe and protect the stomach from further irritation? I have read about herbs like Yashtimadhu (Licorice), Amla, and Shatavari—would these help in healing the digestive tract, and how should they be taken? I also want to know if stress and diet play a role in worsening gastritis. I noticed that my symptoms get worse when I eat spicy foods or when I’m under a lot of stress. Does Ayurveda recommend any stress-management techniques or specific meal plans to prevent acid-related issues? Additionally, I want to avoid future stomach problems. Are there Ayurvedic detox therapies like Panchakarma that can help strengthen my digestive system and prevent chronic acid reflux? I have also heard about drinking herbal teas like fennel and coriander water—are these effective in reducing stomach inflammation? Doctor, please guide me on how I can heal my stomach naturally through Ayurveda and whether I should continue using Sucralfate or switch to Ayurvedic remedies for long-term digestive health.
