Can you describe my problem? Is it related to horomonal imblance or blood impurification or simply food insensitivity
Dr. Manjusha Vikrant Pate
With over 18 years of dedicated Ayurvedic practice, I have focused extensively on treating skin and hair disorders, integrating classical Panchakarma therapies with individualized care. A major aspect of my clinical approach involves Upakarma procedures—supportive therapies within Panchakarma—which I customize based on each patient’s Prakriti (constitutional type). I believe true healing begins when treatments are aligned with the body’s natural balance, and this philosophy guides every aspect of my work. My specialization includes the preparation and use of Ayurvedic formulations that I personally design, including face packs, hair packs, body oils, and facial oils—each one carefully selected and recommended according to the patient’s specific dosha and skin/hair condition. These formulations are result-oriented and rooted in time-tested Ayurvedic principles, ensuring safe, natural, and sustainable outcomes. In my practice, Ayurvedic facials are more than just cosmetic procedures; they are therapeutic treatments tailored to the unique constitution of each individual, aiming to restore inner and outer harmony. By incorporating dosha-based skincare routines and traditional beauty therapies, I help patients achieve visible improvement in conditions like pigmentation, acne, hair fall, and premature aging—without relying on chemical-based solutions. My goal is to blend classical Ayurveda with a practical, patient-focused approach. Whether managing chronic skin concerns, offering customized herbal solutions, or delivering rejuvenative Panchakarma therapies, I ensure each treatment is deeply personalized, holistic, and rooted in authentic Ayurvedic wisdom.

Sounds like you’re dealing with quite a challenging situation. Acne can sometimes be linked to dosha imbalances in Ayurveda—particularly Pitta and Kapha doshas. Since you mentioned redness, inflammation, and pain, it suggests Pitta aggravation, while any systemic itchiness might point towards Kapha involvement. Begin by addressing your daily routine, and start with your diet. Avoid spicy, oily, and acidic food and beverages, which can exacerbate Pitta. Opt for a Pitta-pacifying diet focusing on cooling foods like cucumber, lettuce, sweet fruits like pears, and astringent vegetables like green beans. It's crucial to drink plenty of water, and include herbal teas with coriander or fennel. Incorporate a consistent regimen of gentle cleansing and exfoliating of your skin. Try washing affected areas with neem leaf water daily. Neem has potent anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties beneficial for Pitta-induced conditions. Next, you can apply a paste of sandalwood and turmeric. Mix a small amount of turmeric powder with a tablespoon of sandalwood powder and a little water to make a paste. Let it sit on affected areas for around 20 minutes before washing off. Turmeric, known for its anti-inflammatory qualities, combined with cooling sandalwood helps balance Pitta. Additionally, ensure you manage stress through mindfulness practices, like pranayama or yoga, to avoid further aggravating Pitta, which can flare up with stress. Regular physical activity helps in balancing Kapha by maintaining good circulation. For your thyroid condition, please continue taking your prescribed medication as needed, and it’s best to consult with your healthcare provider if further adjustments need consideration. Any herbal supplements or treatments should be evaluated for any possible interaction with your thyroid meds. If your symptoms persist or worsen, a consultation with an Ayurvedic practitioner could give you a tailored approach. They’d assess your prakriti more comprehensively and could offer more personalized treatments or formulations as needed.
