Dr. Swathimutthu Prasad B N
I’m Dr. Swathimutthu B N, and my practice is deeply rooted in the Ayurvedic care of women’s health, with a focus on balancing hormones, enhancing fertility, and supporting every stage of the reproductive journey. My core areas of expertise include managing menstrual irregularities, painful periods, PCOS, endometriosis, PMS, and menopausal challenges through individualized, holistic care. I also provide preconception counseling and comprehensive postpartum support to promote safe and natural recovery. One of my key strengths lies in addressing infertility in both men and women. I integrate Ayurvedic detoxification therapies like Panchakarma, herbal formulations, and lifestyle interventions to naturally enhance fertility, regulate ovulation, and improve sperm health. My goal is to identify and treat the root causes of reproductive imbalances rather than just addressing surface-level symptoms. Each consultation begins with an in-depth assessment of the patient’s Prakriti (constitution) and Vikriti (current imbalances), allowing me to create highly personalized treatment plans. These plans often include Ayurvedic therapies, dietary adjustments, yoga, pranayama, and stress-relief techniques—customized for long-term vitality and well-being. My approach is not just about treatment, but about walking alongside my patients throughout their healing journey. Whether you are preparing for pregnancy, managing chronic hormonal issues, or navigating the emotional shifts of menopause, I provide close follow-up, emotional support, and continuous guidance. I am committed to building a compassionate, evidence-based practice rooted in Ayurvedic science. By combining ancient wisdom with modern insights, I aim to empower each individual to reclaim their health naturally, safely, and sustainably. Ovarian cysts can be common and often aren't a cause for concern, but since you're experiencing prolonged bleeding, it's crucial to work closely with medical professionals to monitor and manage your condition. Ayurveda offers supportive treatments that might help in dealing with cysts, though it's important to understand the specific nature of your dosha imbalance first—whether it's Vata, Pitta, or Kapha that's disturbed. 1. Balancing Doshas: Generally, ovarian cysts relate to Kapha and Vata imbalances. Start with incorporating herbs like *Guggulu* and *Ashoka* which are known to help balance Vata and Kapha, but it's best to consult an Ayurveda practitioner for precise doses and to avoid worsening the condition. 2. Diet: Focus on a Kapha-Vata pacifying diet. Warm, cooked foods, with spices like ginger and turmeric, can support metabolic fire – Agni. Avoid cold, heavy, and overly oily food, which can aggravate Kapha and Vata. Fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains like barley, and legumes are beneficial. 3. Lifestyle: Regular mild exercise such as yoga or brisk walking may help balance the doshas. Breathing exercises like pranayama can also help manage stress, which can exacerbate cyst growth. 4. Herbal Treatment: *Triphala* is often used for cleansing, which might help here, but it must be taken cautiously. A decoction of Aloe vera juice with honey on an empty stomach every morning could aid in keeping the reproductive system healthy. 5. Panchakarma: In certain cases, Ayurvedic detox treatments like Panchakarma may be considered, but this should only be done under proper guidance. 6. Avoidance: Reduce sugar intake which can worsen Kapha imbalances, contributing to cyst formation. Despite these recommendations, regular follow-ups with your primary healthcare provider are essential. Leverage Ayurveda to complement conventional treatment by integrating it into a holistic care plan. Remember every individual is unique, so personalizing the remedies with an Ayurvedic physician ensures safety and effectiveness.
