It sounds like you're experiencing significant discomfort due to your kidney stone, along with possible urinary tract symptoms. With a 10mm stone, it's essential to seek urgent medical attention, as larger stones often require professional intervention, such as lithotripsy or even surgery, and can also lead to complications like kidney damage if left untreated. Meanwhile, from an Ayurvedic perspective, there are some things you might try to help soothe the symptoms, although these should complement, not replace, professional medical treatment: 1. Diet and Hydration: Drinking plenty of water is key; aim for three liters daily to help flush out the urinary system. Include coconut water, which is cooling and diuretic, to help reduce urinary burning. A diet low in salt, sugar and caffeine can minimize irritation. 2. Herbal Support: Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris) and Pashanbheda (Bergenia ligulata) are two herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda for managing kidney stones and promoting urinary health. Boil them as a tea and consume once a day. 3. Lifestyle: Avoid holding in urine as it can exacerbate symptoms. Try sitting in a warm sitz bath to ease burning and itching, although if you feel any relief, do not assume infection or stone is cleared. 4. Cooling Foods: Incorporate cooling foods like cucumber and watermelon, which help soothe Pitta imbalances, often linked to burning sensations. Since you're experiencing constant burning and itching, these symptoms could indicate a possible urinary or vaginal infection. It's important to consult a doctor for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment, as untreated infections may worsen and pose health risks. Remember, while Ayurveda can support your overall wellness, it’s crucial to prioritize urgent care with this size of stone. Keep capable healthcare providers informed of all remedies you opt for, so they can guide you on safely integrating them with any prescribed treatments.
