It sounds like you're dealing with a classic case of hair fall which often ties back to different factors including nutritional deficiencies, stress, and dosha imbalances. In Ayurveda, hair health is closely linked to your body's internal balance, primarily involving Pitta dosha, which when aggravated can lead to hair thinning and fall. First off, addressing your iron deficiency is crucial, as it plays a significant role in maintaining healthy hair. Focus on incorporating iron-rich foods into your diet like spinach, lentils, beetroot, and sesame seeds. Pair these with vitamin C-rich foods like oranges and amla (Indian gooseberry) to enhance absorption. For external care, consider applying bhringraj oil on your scalp. Massaging your scalp gently with this oil, preferably warmed, once or twice a week can stimulate hair follicles and enhance blood circulation. Leave it for at least 30 minutes before washing it off with a mild herbal shampoo. Internally, consuming amla in the form of juice or powder can provide excellent benefits. You might take 1 teaspoon of amla powder with warm water daily in the morning on an empty stomach. It nourishes the scalp and improves hair pigmentation, reducing hair fall. Dry skin can also signal a Vata imbalance, so keeping yourself hydrated is key. Drink sufficient water throughout the day and include healthy fats from sources like ghee and nuts in your diet. Oils such as coconut or sesame oil can be applied to your skin to locking in moisture. For herbal supplements, shatavari and ashwagandha are recommended. These adaptogens help in reducing stress, balancing hormones, and boosting overall vitality. However, do consult with a local Ayurveda practitioner to tailor these recommendations suitably to your unique constitution and any underlying health concerns. Remember, changes take time—hair regrowth especially, so consistency and patience with these practices can make a notable difference over time.
