Kidney stones and infections are a hassle, aren't they? To prevent them with Ayurveda, we can focus on balancing your doshas and enhancing immunity. But first, always check with your doctor before trying new stuff, especially with your past meds situation. Dietary tweaks can make a big difference. Stay hydrated, but not just with plain water; try warm water or herbal teas like coriander-cumin-fennel tea. This may help flush the kidneys. Include foods that are easily digestible, like soups, steamed veggies, and avoid heavy, oily or spicy foods that can agitate your "agni" (digestive fire). Include herbs like Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris) and Punarnava (Boerhavia diffusa) into your routine. They are traditionally used for supporting kidney health. But, remember, moderation is key here. You don't want to overload your system. For boosting immunity, Ayurveda leans towards a holistic approach. A simple suggestion could be to sip on turmeric and ginger-infused warm water. Both are known for their anti-inflammatory and immune-supportive properties. Lifestyle-wise, daily routines like waking up early, light yoga, or even walks can help balance your body's rhythms. Stress reduction techniques like pranayama or meditation are great for immune health too. Keeping your cool goes a long way. Your history with corticosteroids and plaquenil is significant, so make sure your body gets a chance to gradually adjust to any change you decide to make. Don’t rush it. If a weird symptom flares up, don’t hesitate to reach for that doctor’s number. Sometimes with complex diseases like possible lupus or vasculitis, things might need a more conventional approach too. Combining Ayurvedic methods with medical guidance could be your best bet. And each person is unique, so what works for one might not be fitting for another. Always listen to your body – it often knows what it needs.
