Sounds like you're dealing with a mix of symptoms that could be connected. The ulcer in your mouth lasting for two to three weeks, along with bad breath, sticky saliva, and some gum issues, it indicates a need to balance your oral health. In Ayurveda, these symptoms can often be associated with Pitta and Kapha dosha imbalances. Here's a somewhat more grounded approach on how you could manage them: Firstly, start by observing your diet. Spicy, sour, and excessively salty foods can agitate Pitta, so it would be wise to avoid them during such episodes. Instead, lean towards cooling, light meals rich in fruits and vegetables, like cucumbers, watermelon, and leafy greens. Also, drinking coconut water could help soothe your system. Hydration is key—ensure you're drinking plenty of water throughout the day to avoid dehydrated mouth that can worsen sticky saliva. You might add a slice of cucumber or a sprig of mint for a refreshing touch and further cooling effect. For the ulcers, you might try applying a little bit of a neem leaf paste or using licorice root powder gargle; these have been known to be effective in soothing oral sores. Neem can aid in purification, while licorice promotes healing due to its beneficial compounds. Next, consider oil pulling with sesame oil, as it's known to improve oral health. Swish about a tablespoon of oil in your mouth on an empty stomach for 10-15 minutes, making sure not to swallow. Spit it out and rinse your mouth well with warm water. This ancient practice can help in reducing gum bleeding and promoting fresher breath. Lastly, manage stress and consider practices such as yoga or meditation. Stress can also be a hidden contributor to mouth ulcers and other oral health issues. This holistic focus tends to have a long-term positive effect. In the occurrence that your symptoms don’t improve or reappear, it’s crucial to seek professional medical advice to exclude any underlying conditions. Ayurvedic remedies can complement but shouldn't replace medical interventions when needed. Keep it balanced, be mindful, and take care of your diet and lifestyle.
