how to take amla juice - #24304

Bella

I am really struggling with figuring out how to take amla juice properly. A few weeks ago, my friend recommended it to me for boosting my immune system because I catch colds way too easily, like every other month. I mean, can you believe that? Anyway, I finally bought a bottle, but now I'm kinda lost about the dosage and the best times to drink it. Should I take amla juice on an empty stomach or after meals? I read somewhere that mixing it with honey helps with the taste, but is that really okay? And does it matter if I take it with warm or cold water? Also, what about how long it takes to notice any changes? I just want to make sure I'm doing it right since I've heard so many good things about how to take amla juice for better health. Ugh, this whole thing is just so confusing! Can someone please break it down for me in simple steps? Thanks a ton!

To incorporate amla juice into your routine, start with around 20-30 ml daily which amounts to about 2 tablespoons. This dosage can certainly help in boosting immunity, given amla's rich content of vitamin C and antioxidants. Ideally, consume amla juice on an empty stomach in the morning to maximize absorption and efficacy. However, if your digestion (agni) is weak, taking it after meals could be more comfortable. Observe how your body responds to it. Mixing amla juice with honey is not only okay, but it can actually make the bitter taste more palatable and provide additional benefits. Honey is also known for its immune-boosting properties, so it complements amla well. As for water, room temperature or mildly warm water (not hot) is preferred, as cold can disturb digestion and Agni. Considering your frequent colds, improving your immune system might take a few weeks of consistent intake. But you could start noticing subtle changes like improved energy levels or reduced frequency of colds within a month. Patience is key, as Ayurvedic treatments often work best gradually over time. Now, about those small quirks like when to mix it—yes, you can mix the juice right before you drink it. Making it a part of routine habits might also help, like having it at the same time every day. Consistency supports Ayurveda's holistic wellness approach. Finally, remember to monitor how you feel after taking it. If you experience discomfort or indigestion, adjust the timing or consult an Ayurvedic practitioner to tailor it to your needs. Also, for colds, consider avoiding heavy, oily and cold foods which can aggravate your constitution potentially affecting your immunity. A balanced diet is essential alongside herbal supplements like amla juice.
