what is the price of kesar - #24760

Hannah

I am really worried about this issue I’ve been facing. I’ve been trying to incorporate more natural remedies in my life, and a friend suggested kesar for some health benefits. But now I'm like, what is the price of kesar? I went to a local store, and the prices were all over the place! They had some priced really high and others seemed too good to be true. Honestly, I don’t wanna get ripped off, you know? Plus, I read somewhere that quality really matters when it comes to kesar, but how can you tell the difference if you have no idea what the normal prices even are? I also tried looking online, but it’s confusing with the packaging and all. I imagine I could end up paying way too much for fake or low-quality stuff. I want to know what is the price of kesar that I should expect? Like any tips on how to find it or the best sources would be awesome too. Thank you for any input!

Kesar, or saffron, is indeed a cherished spice with numerous Ayurvedic benefits, known for its ability to balance doshas, enhance complexion, and bolster the digestive fire, agni. However, the price can be scattered, and discerning quality is crucial. Typically, good quality saffron in India is priced between INR 200 to 500 per gram as of the latest data, but prices can vary based on quality, origin, or vendor. Imported variants can sometimes be more expensive. Quality hinges on factors like origin, color, aroma, and packaging. Kashmiri saffron is often considered premium due its deep color and strong aroma. When checking, look for threads that are deep red with orange tips; fake saffron can sometimes be just dyed threads. Real saffron, when put in water, should slowly release its color, turning it golden yellow without instantly losing its color. To avoid fake or inferior-quality saffron, it’s advisable to buy from reputable vendors, preferably whose specialize in spices or have certifications. When shopping online, check for organic certifications and customer reviews that confirm authenticity. Visiting a well-known local store may also guide you better; they can often offer fresher stock and more reliable advice on quality. While investing in saffron for its health properties, make sure it fits your prakriti and lifestyle and always consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized guidance based on your unique constitution. Using kesar is typically done by soaking it in water or milk for a few hours before consumption—t consider starting with small amounts. Remember that real saffron is a potent herb and should be used mindfully within recommended dosages.
