Reducing belly and breast fat while managing PCOD requires a holistic approach. You've taken positive steps by incorporating exercise and reducing oily and junk foods. This can significantly help, but further integration of Ayurvedic principles can support your journey. Firstly, given the PCOD context, balancing your hormones is key. Integrating foods that pacify Vata and Kapha doshas could be beneficial. Favor warm, cooked meals and limit raw and cold foods. Consider including more fibrous vegetables, whole grains like quinoa and barley, and healthy fats from nuts and seeds. Turmeric and ginger in your meals can support digestion and reduce inflammation. Herboal supplements such as Shatavari and Ashwagandha may also assist in balancing hormones and reducing anxiety. Shatavari, especially, is known for its adaptogenic properties and ability to support the female reproductive system. Taking these asadvising by a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner is recommended. For your haemoglobin issue, focusing on iron-rich foods is vital. Beetroots, pomegranate, dates, and dark leafy greens like spinach can be quite beneficial. Cooking in iron utensils may lightly increase your iron intake. Ensure ample Vitamin C intake from sources like amla or citrus fruits to enhance iron absorption. Sleeplessness and anxiety can be partly addressed with lifestyle changes. Routine and regular sleep patterns—going to bed and waking up at the same time—can stabilize your body clock. Practicing mindfulness and calming activities before bedtime, such as listening to soft music or short meditation sessions, might help. Avoid screen usage an hour before sleeping. A cup of warm milk with a pinch of nutmeg could calm Vata dosha and promote sound sleep. Physical activity is crucial. You've begun regular exercise; maintain this, focusing on a mix of cardio and strength exercises. Consider yoga and pranayama, such as Nadi Shodhana, to balance doshas and manage anxiety. Regarding PCOD, Ayurveda emphasizes detoxification or ‘Panchakarma’. A guided detox under an Ayurvedic professional might prove beneficial. Ongoing support from a healthcare provider for your haemoglobin and PCOD is essential. Integrating these recommendations progressively into your routine might lead to improvements over time.
