Malabar Psoro-Rid - #35560

Theodore

I am in a bit of a situation and could really use some advice on Malabar Psoro-Rid. For the past few months, I’ve been dealing with this really annoying skin condition that’s just driving me nuts. I thought it was just dry skin at first, but it got worse and started getting these scaly patches on my arms and legs. Went to the doc and they mentioned something about psoriasis, but my friend told me about Malabar Psoro-Rid, which apparently works wonders in cases like mine. I’ve tried over-the-counter creams, but they barely help and sometimes just irritate my skin more. Like, one time, I tried this lotion that was supposed to be natural, and it made it worse — can you believe that?! My skin is itchy all the time, and not to mention, it feels like everyone is looking at me when I'm out. I’ve been trying to eat a bit healthier and went on a no-carb diet thinking that may help, but my skin hasn’t seen any relief yet. Has anyone here used Malabar Psoro-Rid? I really want to know if it actually helps with the itching and if it cleared up those scales. Also, does it have any side effects? I’m a bit worried about trying new things since I’ve had bad reactions before. Would love any insight or experiences you all might have with this. Fingers crossed!

Doctors' responses

Malabar Psoro-Rid is an Ayurvedic formulation that’s sometimes recommended for alleviating symptoms associated with psoriasis. Since you mention that you have symptoms like scaly patches and itching, its main components may help to pacify the imbalances contributing to your condition. Ingredients in Malabar Psoro-Rid are known for their anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing properties. However, while Ayurvedic treatments like this can provide relief, the effectiveness is highly individual, and it’s crucial to consider your unique constitution or prakriti.

Your experience with skin irritation signals the importance of patch testing any new product you intend to use. Apply a small amount to a non-affected area first and monitor the reaction for 24 to 48 hours. If no irritation occurs, you may proceed cautiously, applying a thin layer only on the affected spots.

Besides topical treatments, in Ayurveda, managing psoriasis involves addressing internal imbalances. Consider incorporating foods that support your agni, or digestive fire, which can be vital in managing inflammatory conditions. Warm, cooked foods that are easy to digest can be more beneficial than a strict no-carb diet. Include spices like turmeric and cumin that are known for their anti-inflammatory properties.

Regular gentle oil massages with medicated oils like neem oil can also aid in reducing scaling and itching. Ensure proper hydration within your cells by drinking warm water throughout the day, enhancing metabolic processes to alleviate dryness.

While exploring alternative treatments, be aware of possible side effects. Some individuals might experience increased dryness or irritation. If symptoms persist, affecting your daily life, seek a consultation with an Ayurvedic practitioner who can offer a tailored treatment plan. Make sure any herbal formulation is authentic and prepared following prescribed guidelines since low-quality products can lead to adverse effects.

While I can’t specifically endorse a product like Malabar Psoro-Rid due to a lack of identifiable ingredients or clinical backing, we can certainly explore how Siddha-Ayurvedic principles might support psoriasis symptoms. Psoriasis in Ayurveda is often viewed through the lens of imbalances in Pitta and Vata, affecting the skin and contributing to inflammation and scaling.

First, focus on dietary adjustments that calm Pitta. Incorporate cooling foods like cucumbers, bitter gourd, and fruits like melons and pomegranates. Limit spicy, acidic, and overly salty foods which agitate Pitta and Vata. Stay hydrated, as proper moisture aids skin health.

Consider aloe vera or turmeric paste applied topically, as they are known for anti-inflammatory, soothing effects. Before using, conduct a patch test to ensure no irritability — especially given past reactions.

Internally, you might try consuming neem leaves or utilizing neem oil which traditionally supports skin conditions by detoxifying the blood. Manage stress through meditation or yoga since stress exacerbates dosha imbalances.

While your inclination to try Malabar Psoro-Rid is understood, check its ingredients for allergens or previously known irritants. However, if symptoms persist or worsen, consult a healthcare professional without delay. Severe psoriasis may require comprehensive treatment beyond home remedies.
