I am really confused about something and hoping someone here can help me. A few weeks ago, I was at my friend's house and she made this amazing dish with what she called sendha namak. It tasted so good, plus I haven’t seen a salt like it before! I’ve been reading up on it since then because I'm trying to be more health-conscious and also keep track of things like iodine in my diet, you know? I have never had much knowledge about this sendha namak until that day, and now I can't shake this nagging question: Does sendha namak contain iodine? I’ve looked up a few things but the info seems all over the place. My family has a history of thyroid issues and I can’t tell if I should be using this salt regularly or if I'm missing some important nutrient that iodine provides! Is there any chance that it could be a good alternative or should I be careful? I mean, I thought salt was basically salt, but does sendha namak contain iodine like table salt or is it totally different?
