how to use shilajit oil - #40357

Lily

I am feeling kinda lost lately, and I guess it's mostly because of this lingering fatigue. A friend recently mentioned shilajit oil and how it’s supposed to be great for energy but I have no clue how to use shilajit oil properly! I tried researching online, but I'm getting mixed info. Like, some say just a drop or two in warm water or milk, then others say applying it directly can help too? Tried just putting a little on my skin but it felt kinda sticky and I wasn’t sure if that was right?! I'm a bit hesitant as I've also had some digestive issues, bloating, you know, that kinda stuff. Would shilajit oil be good for that too? I really want to boost my energy levels, but I also don’t wanna make my tummy upset more than it already is. Some friends are saying it’s like a miracle for their health, but I read it can cause some sides effects like dehydration if not taken right, which worries me a lot. Can someone clarify how to use shilajit oil? Like, what’s the best method and is there any certain amount that's safe? It’s driving me buggy trying to figure this out! Any tips or experiences would be super helpful.

When dealing with fatigue and digestive issues, approaching shilajit with some care is a wise decision. Shilajit, rich in fulvic acid and minerals, is known for boosting energy and rejuvenating the body. However, using shilajit oil requires a bit of caution, especially if you have sensitive digestion. Typically, shilajit is available in resin or tablet form, but shilajit oil can still be effective for specific applications.

For general rejuvenation and energy, you can actually use a drop or two of shilajit oil internally by mixing it with warm water or milk. This method helps in better absorption, giving the fulvic acid and minerals a good medium to be absorbed into the bloodstream. A good time to take it would be early in the morning on an empty stomach. Be sure to start with a small amount, see how your body reacts, and then adjust accordingly. Overuse could potentially challenge your renal function due to its potent nature.

Applying shilajit oil directly on your skin is a common practice if you look to gain local benefits like joint pain relief. But, hey, don’t get disheartened by the stickiness—it’s known characteristic. Massage a small amount onto your joints or areas where you feel chronic fatigue or muscular tension. Leave it for a while, then wash it off if it feels uncomfortable.

Since you mentioned digestive issues like bloating, if you’re still concerned about digestive upset, consider backing it up with dietary changes. Avoid heavy, oily, and cold foods that aggravate Vata dosha. Opt for warm, light, and moist meals, which will also ensure your agni (digestive fire) is supported.

And yes, hydration is key, too! Taking shilajit can cause slight dehydration, so ensure you’re drinking adequate water throughout the day. Also, consult with a health professional if you’re unsure or if symptoms persist. While personal recommendations are valuable, every body reacts differently, right?

Using shilajit oil can indeed enhance energy levels and potentially help with fatigue, but its use requires some care, especially if your digestion is already sensitive. Shilajit is powerful in balancing Vata and Kapha doshas and known to support the dhatus or tissue systems. Its energy-boosting properties come from its ability to enhance Agni, our digestive and metabolic fire.

For application, it’s predominantly used externally. Applying it as a massage oil can invigorate the skin and cells, improving circulation. If you feel it’s sticky, you might be using too much. Just a few drops applied to the skin, perhaps mixed with a carrier oil like sesame or coconut, can ease this feeling and soothe Vata imbalances related to stress and fatigue.

Regarding internal use, there’s a more traditional form you might find beneficial than oil, like shilajit resin or powder. Taken in moderation, typically dissolved in warm water or milk (around 300-500mg or as directed on product), it can aid one’s energy without overwhelming your digestion. Avoid taking it on an empty stomach, as that can spike digestive fire and lead to discomfort.

Considering you’re dealing with bloating, you might want to start with small doses, monitored intake. Prolonged use without professional guidance isn’t advisable. Keep hydrated, as shilajit can stimulate metabolism, which sometimes leads to a dehydrating effect. Never exceed recommended dosages.

If you face any significant discomfort, it may indicate a deeper imbalance that requires personalized treatment, in which case consulting a qualified practitioner would be wise. This ensures safe use fitting your unique constitution and health status. If fatigue persists or worsens, exploring underlying causes with a healthcare professional is crucial.
