Firstly, assess your diet; it plays a crucial role in hair health. Ensure you’re having a balanced diet rich in nutrients essential for hair growth like iron, zinc, biotin, and omega-3 fatty acids. Incorporate foods like spinach, nuts, legumes, and fatty fish. Ayurveda emphasizes satmya, or compatibility with one’s constitution, so focus on warm, cooked meals that are easy to digest if you have a Vata or Pitta imbalance.

Managing stress is another key element. Practices such as meditation, pranayama, or yoga can significantly alleviate stress and enhance your wellbeing. Abhyanga, or self-massage with warm oil, is also quite beneficial for Vata balances and can improve blood circulation to the scalp, nourishing hair follicles.

Hair care practices are also vital. Ayurvedic texts advise using herbal oils like Bhringraj or Amla oil, which can strengthen hair and promote growth. Apply oil to your scalp 2-3 times a week, followed by a gentle massage to improve absorption and stimulate the follicles.
