It seems you are dealing with anemia, likely due to iron deficiency from heavy menstrual bleeding, as well as issues with an enlarged uterus. Ayurvedic approach focuses on balancing your body’s doshas, enhancing your nutritional intake, and addressing the root causes of heavy periods. Begin by focusing on your diet. Increase iron-rich foods like leafy greens, beets, and dried fruits such as raisins and dates. Ensure these are combined with vitamin C-rich foods, for better absorption—citrus fruits, bell peppers, and amla (Indian gooseberry) can be beneficial. Amla can be consumed daily, raw or in juice form.

Turmeric mixed with milk could be a beneficial practice; its anti-inflammatory properties may aid in reducing uterine inflammation. Consume this mixture at night. It’s also helpful to take ashwagandha powder in warm milk to support energy levels and promote overall health—consume one teaspoon twice daily.

Warm sesame oil massages may be effective for improving local circulation and easing uterine pressure, particularly around the abdomen. Practice daily for about 10 minutes. Yoga postures such as the ‘Supta Baddha Konasana’ (Reclining Bound Angle Pose) and ‘Viparita Karani’ (Legs-Up-the-Wall Pose) are known to help with improving uterine health and reducing menstrual discomfort.

On lifestyle, ensure adequate rest. Avoid strenuous activities during your period and prioritize regular sleep. Meditation or pranayama can help manage stress, potentially reducing headaches. It’s also essential to consult with a healthcare provider about your enlarged uterus for a comprehensive assessment and treatments. If symptoms worsen such as severe drowsiness or heavy bleeding, seek immediate medical attention to prevent complications related to hemoglobin levels.
