how to apply aloevera gel on hair - #41493
I am really confused about how to apply aloevera gel on hair. I’ve been hearing a lot of good stuff about it from friends and online, but every time I try, I feel like I’m doing it wrong. Like, I recently had this awful hair fall situation after trying out a bunch of new shampoos. Not fun! I’ve switched back to my old one, and I started using aloevera gel to soothe my irritated scalp. So, the other day, I bought some fresh aloe plants, cause I heard it’s the best way to get that pure gel. But do I just slather it on, or is there a specific technique? Do I leave it on for a while or do I wash it out right away? And like, how often should I be doing this? Also, I can’t even figure out if I should blend the gel or just scoop it out with a spoon. Everyone says different things! I feel like my hair is getting worse, and I'm starting to freak out a little bit. I really want to give aloevera a fair shot, but I need tips on how to apply aloevera gel on hair properly. Any advice would be super appreciated! Thanks!

To use aloe vera gel on your hair effectively, you’ll want to ensure you’re applying it correctly to get the maximum benefits. Aloe vera, especially from fresh leaves, can be quite beneficial due to its cooling, soothing and nourishing properties.
Firstly, when using fresh aloe leaves, cut a mature leaf from the plant, and let the yellow latex (aloin) drip out for a few minutes as it can be irritating to some people. Then, slice the leaf open and use a spoon to scoop out the clear gel. You can blend the gel to smooth out any lumps, making it easier to apply evenly.
Apply the gel to your scalp and hair gently massaging it in. This ensures that the nutrients penetrate your scalp, helping to alleviate irritation and potentially reduce hair fall. Leave the aloe vera gel on your hair for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. This gives your scalp ample time to absorb the nutrients, before you rinse it out with lukewarm water.
Consider doing this treatment 1-2 times a week depending on how your scalp and hair respond. Since your hair has been experiencing fall, overuse can sometimes lead to build-up. So keep an eye on how your scalp feels and adjust if necessary.
Also, as you’re finding irritation from shampoos, check whether those have harsh chemicals and try to switch to more natural, ayurvedic based options. Your diet and lifestyle awareness is important too; consuming nourishing foods like nuts, seeds, and leafy greens can support hair health. Additionally, managing stress levels can help, as stress can directly affect hair health.
If your hair fall persists, an Ayurveda practitioner can help determine if there’s an underlying imbalances in your doshas or other factors involved.
